Senate Minority Leader, Simon Mwadkwon on Friday said that the removal of fuel subsidy is causing untold hardship to Nigerians.

Mwadkwon who represents Plateau North senatorial district on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said this while featuring as a guest on Channels Television programme ‘Sunrise Daily’ monitored by worldviewafrica.

According to him, all the senators, irrespective of their political parties have decided to put aside their differences to help President Bola Tinubu’s administration and to ensure there are palliatives for the common man in order to cope with the hardship of the fuel subsidy removal.

He said “As it is now, we are looking at Nigeria, not our political parties any longer. Our political parties have now become secondary, our focus now is the country. How do we move forward as a nation? What shall we do as senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to help the administration of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu?”.

“Those are the things that we shall do. We don’t have to look at ourselves as members of different political parties any longer. The focus as I did say is the success, growth and development of Nigeria. How do we secure this country because we have a lot of security challenges”.

“The fuel subsidy removal is giving untold hardship on the citizens. How do we legislate to make sure that at least, there are palliatives for a common man to have some relief from some of these issues”.
