Nnamdi Kanu: IPOB to declare two-week sit-at-home in Lagos, says Simon Ekpa

By Oluyemi Ogunseyin
13 July 2023

Factional leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa, has announced plans to declare a sit-at-home in Lagos State to demand the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

Ekpa late Wednesday night tweeted that IPOB will be coming to Lagos after the two-week-long sit at home in the South-east.

“Biafrans in Lagos should get ready to be part of the demand to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. We are coming to Lagos after the 2 week-long sit at home,” Ekpa said.

“It is time to show your solidarity to this call for justice. Biafrans in Lagos will lockdown. The consultation will start soon.”

Ekpa on Tuesday announced that there will be a two-week sit-at-home in the South East.

While issuing a fresh threat of another lockdown, he said that the sit-at-home is to demand “the immediate and unconditional release of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who remains illegally detained at the DSS dungeon”.

“Following the demand by the Biafra people for more sit at home civil disobedience, the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile (BRGIE) and Biafra De Facto Government In Homeland wish to notify Biafrans that there will be a sit-at-home civil disobedience starting from 31 July, 2023 to 14 August, 2023,” Ekpa said.

Ekpa stated that it is also in preparation for “Biafra’s self-referendum and to further put the world on notice that Biafrans are taking their future into their own hands.”

According to him, it will be observed “to invalidate the illegitimacy of those who parade themselves as Nigeria’s representatives within Biafran territory.”

The two-week sit-at-home order came hours after a closed-door meeting of South East political leaders where they sought an audience with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on resolving the security situation in the region.

Simon Ekpa's Autopiloters unleashed a wave of violence across the south-east last week and this led to reactions from many people. These are Simon Ekpa's responses to those reactions. First his response to the south-east governors.

Funny.
Attempting to extend your babaric sit at home to the Land of Excellence will be your undoing.

The Federal Government's non-interventionist position concerning the sit-at-home lawlessness is about to change.

Simon Epa, the mediocre lawyer who finds it so hard to write coherently let alone string words together.
Is this your king?

I diss him with “Wanksta” by 50 Cent.

Former deputy leader of Ipob, Uche Mefor, responds to Simon Ekpa's threats above (Uche Mefor left Ipob in 2020 because, according to him, the group was unleashing violence and committing human rights abuses against the people of the South-East and it was trying to impose a dictatorship on Biafra).

I can dig out more than one thousand threads made years ago, warning tbe the ibos of the danger Nnamdi Kanu's IPOB portends for iboland. As usual, those who created such threads were fiercely insulted by Kanu's online minions.

As far back as 2014, a video surfaced right here on Nairaland, wherein Nnamdi Kanu was seen at the World Igbos in Los Angeles, asking for funds from the ibos in diaspora, that will be used to purchase arms which he intends to use fight war against the zoo.

Fee months after the meeting in Los Angeles, Kanu made the famous " Nigeria will be worse than Somalia if they dont give us Biafra" speech in an interview he granted Sahara TV. The signs were ominous.

People of goodwill kept cautioning the ibos against swallowing the poison Kanu was feeding them with, but yet again they savagely mobbed such persons with the files insults that can only come from those who were on the path of destruction.

GEJ's 2015 election loss and Buhari's emergence as the president engendered a new level of hate among the ibos. Kanu took advantage of this to aggressively promote his IPOB/Radio Biafra suicide agenda. As if struck by a spell, the entire iboland was engulfed with this madness. It was a classical case of mass hysteria. People warned and cautioned but it fell on deaf years.

Events and years have rolled past. Predictions of impending carnage have now become a reality. It is unfortunate to note that the pet that was nurtured by the ibos out of hate for others has now become a monster that cannot be tamed

If you try it in Lagos it will be your last, before you come back from your vacation i will ask council to lock up all your shops and paste a citation there for you to pay 100k before opening the shop. Anyone that failed to pay will loose that shop or the landlord will be fine N5Million.

I don’t take nonsense from anybody.

Be warned i don’t want anybody to try stupid lockup in Lagos. If you try that nonsense i will implement laws against. We warned.

You cannot intimidate Igbo’s. All shops will be locked for 2 weeks, and anyone that violates orders will be dealt with severely.

Mazi Simon Ekpa has spoken and it’s FINAL

cheesy cheesy cheesy

This is result of feeding your children with hate speech from toddler to adulthood.
When the madness Sit-at-home just started, our brothers and sisters from the region are always happy, even boastfully about the whole process by preparing Nsi ala soup every Monday to celebrate the day.

We were called many names for telling the danger of what they're doing. The IPOB boys were seen everywhere and they celebrated them as their messiah against the fulani herdsmen.

Simon Ekpa, you're a good leader and I don't want you to declare sit at home in Lagos alone but throughout the federation grin Let President Tinubu knows you're made with steel balls.

I don't think you have any constitutional right to do so. Anyone can close his or her shop for a year that is non of your business.

This Simon Ekpa wants to ruin igbos completely.

Extending his stupidity beyond the east will be calamitous.

He is setting up the igbos for a great problem.

This is really a wrong time to be an Igbo.

Imagine people taking orders from this nitwit? You wonder why they collectively supported fraudulent Mmesoma? Or why they are supporting Obi, even though by any standard he is not capable of successfully leading a local government?
All hail Mazi Simon Epka, the generalissimo of IPOB republic of Biafra.#spits

As in ehn. Ojukwu use this biafra scam to lead more than a million of them to the grave, only for him to cowardly fun away to ivory coast. Some years later Ralph Uwazuruike use the same Biafra format collect. And then came Nnamdi Kanu, that one use Radio Biafra cash out, they live soft life for UK before dem arrest am. Now na Simon Ekpa turn.
