The Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education has increased the school fees of new students into Federal Government Colleges otherwise known as Federal Unity Colleges to ₦100,000.

This was contained in a directive from the Office of the Director of Senior Secondary Education Department of the Federal Ministry of Education, reference number ADF/120/DSSE/I, dated 25th May, 2023, and addressed to all Principals of Federal Unity Colleges.

According to the circular entitled, “Approved fees/ charges for Federal Unity Colleges (1st Term) for new students“, signed by the Director of Senior Secondary Education, Hajia Binta Abdulkadir, new students are expected to part with ₦100,000 instead of the previous N45,000.

“The latest fees/charge increment will affect virtually all aspects and activities of the school, including tuition and boarding fees, uniform, text books, deposit, exercise books, prospectus, caution fee, ID card, stationery, clubs and societies, sports, extra lesson, insurance, et al.

“Please be informed that the ministry has approved only the underlisted fees and charges for all Unity Colleges,” the memo read.

Inflation will go through the roof this year.

Couples should stop having extra children they cannot afford to. God won't come and solve ur sufferings and ur childrens, while a condom will stop.

No amount is too large in present day Nigeria.

Lol, those that will suffer most from Tinubu's maladministration are Northerners. This man is daily bringing out policies that are suffocating the poor.

NW and NE already have poverty rates hovering around 90% before, now it will getting close to 99%. Imo and Anambra States alone used to produce more students than the entire NW combined! Students from SE will fill up spaces in their region and the surplus will move to other regions with low enrollment rates fill up their unused spaces.

Igbos have shock absorbers that will cushion the effects of this mad man's foolishness.

That's an over 100% increase! Guess we now have an idea of how high higher institutions fees are expected to be. Nothing less than the above, for sure

U removed subsidy and still went ahead to remove the ones the poor are managing.

This man is wicked.

I pity those who felt they were doing others.

So, parents will 100,000 x 3 i.e. 300,000 per year for each child in unity school?

Tinubu is indeed Rehoboam, this man is deliberately doing all these because Nigerians didn't vote for him. Let him continue, but God will humble him soon.

The ripping off of the system has to come to an end. God has ordained it to be now. The truth left the common man a very long time ago. Now we know the truth.
