Hon. Prof. Sifuna has literally given a lecture to Asset Recovery Agency (ARA) and EACC on its mandate and declined an effort by an officer of the ARA to withdraw a forfeiture of assets case on grounds that the withdrawal is suspicious.

He has reminded the investigative bodies that they cannot be allowed to use public resources to investigate economic crimes, file voluminous documents then withdraw on grounds of lack of evidence.

This is quite admirable from the judiciary. An arm of government in all rights, checking and balancing as should be.
