@Seun, Help move to the front page for wider comments :

Please I need a review of this car model. Just got obsessed with the model and want to get one ( Not on brand new though) just for my commuting

What are the potential issues or why you like it and would support a novice to get it as one like: fuel economy, maintenance cost, reliability/ durability, safety, parts availability, engine spec/ variant like - BHP & torque etc.

I will appreciate reviews from mechanics, dealers and users experience.

Thanks

Okay

But with your experience with cars, what can you say about the Tucson?

is a very good car. I have been using mine since 2015. Make sure you use recommended gear. I learnt my lesson two years ago using incompatible gear oil. I bought another gear then which cost me 90k

sorry for replying late. The car is rugged I hardly have issues with it. Check for oil leakage from both the engine and the gear. The recommended gear oil is Hyundai spiii.

Mine is a 2008 model.
Just make sure there is no leakage of oil (both Gear and engine oil.) But the Car is rugged both engine and body.
There was a time last year a Matrix rammed into the back of the car while it was stationary. Just minor compression of the exhaust. But the matrix was busted. I was so shocked.
It's a very good car. But be sure to do your due diligence and checks. Remember if there is any oil leakage, do not buy it.

Good day bro, please based on your experience of Hyundai so far, would you recommend newer models of Hyundai as an option for someone who is looking for a reliable compact suv? I’m thinking particularly towards the 2018 or 2019 Hyundai Tucson because it’s more cheaper than older models of the RAV4 or CR-V and also more equipped with the features I really need.

Yes, 2018 & 2019 models are great. The SantaFe is also great.

The car is strong and durable.

Go for 4cyl. Most Nigerian Used 4wd has been converted to Fwd. Major parts are available in Ladipo, though it was hard sourcing for the roof racks.

Scan what you want to buy. Hope you get the one bought brand new, with good maintenance culture.

Welcome onboard

Hello, somebody please help.

I am considering a 2016 Hyundai Tucson .
I think the size and interior is perfect.

However I have some concerns , as I saw some reviews on its double clutch transmission having delays (or something like that )sometimes.

I would like to find out if it’s really a common problem. I would also like to know if there is a fix . I would also like a general review on the model.

And if review is negative , please help with perhaps better recommendations?
I considered the 2015 Santa Fe, but i think it’s much too big in size for me. The 2014 rav4 came up but it’s pricier and bland on the interior side. The 2015 Nissan qashquai came up, but people said Nissan was not good enough . Please help.

For context , I am a 5’4 lady , living in Lagos island and currently drive a 2013 corrolla sport.
Thank you .

Hello House
I have a 2008 Hyundai Tucson.
On Sunday I notice a squeeking sound from the back of the car while driving.
I took it to a workshop and they said the axil and propeller are bad.
The technician said the oil in the axil is dried up so the metal is grind and chipped.
Please can anyone recommend a good place to get a second opinion.
Somewhere around Gbagada axis.
Thank you
