Why do uou people in the south buy foodstuff like almajari. Take real money to the market. Stick the house n fried with lots. Cook twice in a month n enjoy a living life not struggling to survive. You lot ain't saving money buying petty like this. In the north all thses cost less than 2500. That meat is 400 that tomatoes is like 100 and that fish looks unhealthy. Well eat healthy and work harder to earn money to buy more.

You are living a good life by cooking twice in a month? Your own definition of good life is by eating fluorinated hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide emitting from the freezer and your microwave? So you make your white rice and keep it in the fridge for 15 days.

Na clowns full Nairaland

Cook 2 times in a month, how do you preserve it?

That individual made a valid point in a rude way. But cooking twice in a month is a big No No.

My wife cook soups / stew that will last us for a week. She will portion it in containers in the freezer. Anybody that want to eat will just take a container.

Herring.....popularly called shawa. I dislike the fresh ones. But the smoked ones are really tasty, and a bit expensive.
