*Topic:* The Good News of Deliverance.

*Text:* Isa. 61:1-2
Isa.61.1 - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa.61.2 - To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

*The one who is called, is sent.*

Our text today carries quite important words, I call these words 'good news of deliverance'. Isa. 61 captures the entirety of Jesus' mandate on earth. He came, as the one called and sent by the Sovereign Lord.

What are the things outlined in verses 1-2 that shows forth deliverance? Jesus was sent with a news; the good news of deliverance to the poor which is salvation of the soul of those poor spiritually. Do you know that Jesus left same mandate for us? We are to take this good news of salvation to the ends of the earth. Isn't this interesting?
"To heal the broken-hearted" Christ heal and broken hearts and damaged people and He did this by the Word which has the power to change, correct and recreate. This same Word(scripture) he left for us to make adequate use of.
"To proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;" Christ came to set men free. Free from the captivity of sin and slavery under the yoke of Satan. To set free those who are bound by iniquity, guilt and altars. Hallelujah! This means; the moment we accept the good news of salvation, we share in all of these things that Christ did. And Christ said we will do much more than he has done here on earth. The question is: Are you chosen and sent?

The acceptable day of the Lord is the day of Lord shall save His people and defeat the enemy of His people forever and ever.

The day of the Lord is here, because salvation and deliverance has come for you. Your enemy is defeated already. Jesus has won the victory and we will win because we are on the Lord's side.
Can you now work and walk in the finished work of Christ and exact your dominion? Operating in all of this is only possible if you have accepted Christ as your Lord and savior. If you haven't please take this moment and surrender to His Lordship.

*Prayer:* Dear Lord, I believe in your finished work on earth. I want you to become my personal Lord and savior, come into my life and fill me with your Spirit, in Jesus name, Amen.
