Donald J. Trump, the former president, rejoined X (formerly known as Twitter) after a more than two-year absence. He posted a link to his website and a photo of his mug shot with the caption, βElection Interference.. Never surrender!.. DONALDJTRUMP.COMβ His account was banned by Twitter in 2021, accusing him of glorifying violence. But Elon Musk, after buying twitter reinstated his account, saying that barring Mr. Trump had been a mistake. The mug-shot post has garnered over 700,000 likes with 61.2 million views in just 4 hours of being posted. His return was wildly celebrated on the social media platform, with a number of notable figures celebrating his return.
