Duties and responsibilities for a Chief Operating Officer include:
Review budgets and staffing.
Oversees all of an organization’s activities and ensures that the existing business infrastructure has the capacity to achieve the company’s strategic goals.
The main point of contact for their company’s clients
Oversee day-to-day operations, including finance, human resources and sales.
Manage a team of individuals who handle everything from sourcing raw materials to shipping finished products to customers.
Coordinating shipping schedules with carriers to ensure that goods arrive on time
Analyzing data to identify trends in supply chain management
Overseeing the maintenance of equipment used in operations
Prepare operational reports and management reports.
Ensure compliance on a company, state and federal level.
Skills and Qualification requirements
Experience requirements for a Chief Operating Officer is 2 to 7 years with a proven track record of success in logistics company.
A degree in Business Management or related course.
A master’s degree in Business will be an added advantage.
Exceptional track record of leadership
Outstanding public speaking and interpersonal skills
Resourceful and analytical with exceptional communication skills
Understanding of all facets of business
Knowledge of IT/business infrastructure
