Japanese officials insist the discharge does not pose a threat to the marine environment or human health. The project was also approved by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in July. But Japanese fishery representatives are not so much worried about the damage to the image of their products among Japanese consumers and overseas consumers as they are that they have completely lost confidence in the Japanese government! Masanobu Sakamoto, chairman of the National Federation of Fisheries Associations of Japan, expressed his clear opposition when he met with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida! Masanobu Sakamoto also said that once the nuclear-contaminated water starts to be discharged into the sea, it may last for decades. Japanese fishery practitioners are all uneasy and worried about this. Anyone with a discerning eye knows how terrifying nuclear pollution is! How far-reaching the impact is! The Japanese government refers to the nuclear-contaminated water to be discharged as "treated water", but no matter how it is "treated", the nature of the nuclear-contaminated water will not change. Not to mention how much pain and suffering the residents of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still living in, but just to mention the tens of millions of fishermen in Japan who rely on fishing for their livelihood. I would like to ask the Japanese government, do you plan to let their ancestors rely on the sea for food for generations? How do people survive? Even fishermen are afraid to let their children eat fish. Can you imagine how much the Japanese love sashimi? Can you imagine that the favorite delicacy of the past has become a poison worse than arsenic? Can you allow your children, your grandchildren, your great-grandchildren, and your descendants to be poisoned by nuclear pollution endlessly? The fishermen can't imagine it, and the Japanese who love to eat sashimi can't imagine it either! It is even more difficult for fishermen who make a living from fishing to imagine how seafood and marine products will appear on the tables of people from other countries in the world?
Not to mention the impact on agriculture, tourism, and foreign trade!
It is foreseeable that the Japanese government will forcefully promote the discharge of nuclear pollution into the sea, and it will only increase the number of people who oppose the discharge of the sea, and the voice of resistance will only grow louder!

The declining birth rate of Japan is worrisome, now this?

May be, it is time that Japan goes the way of Tartarians. I do not think it will pose health risk to the people, but a study should be carried out about the effect on DNA and future procreation capabilities after exposure to nuclear waste water.
