Nigeria's electoral politics has become more corrosive over the last 9 years.

Though there have always been divisions along ethnic/tribal & religious lines, APC used social media to make those divisons more obvious & viral.

Most importantly, APC & its supporters promoted the practice of mocking those who lost elections & rubbing it in thier faces. Going as far as supporting policies & actions that were obviously wrong.

I think these issues invariably led to a breed of virulent opposition supporters who have themselves become a 'worse' reflection of what the APC supporters are.

Is there a way forward? I doubt because no one wants to back down. One side wants to continue the 'pepper dem gang' mentality while the other side are hellbent on being heard, albeit in a very wrong way.

Peter Obi won the real election if we are to go by actual votes cast but Tinubu won the manipulation and I as a normal Nigerian accepted the manipulation because there has never been and will never be a free and fair election in Nigeria or anywhere at all. Politics is about intriguing.

2ndly Obidient movement is not an Igbo movement but a national movement with Igbos as majority owing to her higher population of internet savy generation. The strategy employed by Tinubu's media team is to tag them Igbo so that other Nigerians and Africans will view it from ethnoreligious point of view but every relatively intelligent person already knows.

Nigerians are generally suffering and it's normal for majority of population to blame every present leader as the cause. If Obi had won the election by now Nigerians would jave been on him as usual no matter the tribe.

This strategy backfired and now he's been seen as an Igbo/Christian candidate, he needs to do a serious work up north by making friends and building alliances now if he ever wants to get there.
