If not for the fact that the current government is a continuum of the previous one, the can of worms that would have been opened on the level of thievery and aggressive looting under the previous administration would have made Nigerians realise how foolish they are |

The Jubilee Graduate Programme, once hailed as a monument of hope for Nigerian graduates, is now under scrutiny following allegations of mismanagement and mistreatment by its head, William Tsuma. The Jubilee Programme, established with the promise of connecting thousands of unemployed graduates with potential employers, has been mired in controversy since an investigative piece by SaharaReporters highlighted significant financial discrepancies. The report suggested that William Tsuma was at the center of these irregularities. Inside sources, who requested anonymity for fear of retaliation, have painted a grim picture of the work environment under Tsuma’s leadership. Reports of public berating, gaslighting, and a general atmosphere of fear and intimidation have emerged. Uche, a former assistant at Jubilee Programme, shared her experiences, "The vision of Jubilee Programme was something I believed in, but the reality was a nightmare. Willam’'s outbursts were unpredictable, and he consistently shifted blame onto colleagues and fellows for the programme's failures." Another colleague, Aminat, revealed, "I joined Jubilee Programme to make a difference, but all I've experienced is humiliation. Many of us have considered quitting or requesting transfers just to escape the toxic environment." The fallout from the SaharaReporters article has been swift, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the programme's finances and Tsuma’'s leadership. The UNDP and , a key partner in the Jubilee Programme initiative, has yet to issue a formal statement. As the story unfolds, many are left wondering about the future of the Jubilee Programme and the dreams of the thousands of graduates it promised to help. The spotlight is now firmly on William Tsuma, with many demanding accountability and transparency. |
