The National Coordinator, Association of Rural Chiefs for Peace and Development, A Nigerian Patriot, A recipient of Nigeria's National Honour and A respected Niger Delta Leader, Alabo (Dr) Nengi James, OON, has called on Nigerian political leaders to harness the vast majority of Human and material resources available in the nation to build a prosperous nation that works for all citizens.


Alabo (Dr) Nengi James, (OON) stated that Nigeria is a blessed nation with poor leadership, hence the reason why the citizens are poor and suffering. He said that making Nigeria great requires a concerted effort by the government, private sector, and civil society through tackling corruption, promoting good governance, investing in infrastructure, diversifying the economy, investing in education and skills development, and improving security for Nigeria to unlock its tremendous potential and become an economic powerhouse in Africa.


He said that for Nigerian citizens to experience prosperity as a nation, the political leaders must tackle corruption head-on by implementing effective measures and policies that will reduce the incidence of corruption while Anti-corruption efforts must be holistic, with both preventive and punitive measures to ensure that offenders are brought to justice.


He harped on the need for prudent, responsive and responsible governance with transparency, accountability, and rule of law to ensure that the country delivers basic services to its citizens. He further urge political leaders to tackle insecurity, promote community policing, peace and stability in the country
by strengthening the capacity of the military and law enforcement agencies in the country.



Alabo (Dr) Nengi Jame emphasised on the need for the government at all levels to invest in digital education and skills development so as to provide the necessary skills needed for the country's workforce as this will reduce unemployment rates and create a skilled workforce that will drive economic development.
