I just finished watching Shakira's VMA performance few minutes ago and i have now realize that the women in NIGERIA music industry are still 100 years behind their western counterparts.

No disrespect to tiwa salvage, no disrespect to tems, no disrespect to yemi alade but after watching Shakira's VMA performance.
We are still 100 years behind when it comes to music, stage performance and stage presence.

Is it that our women in music are too lazy or they just don't have that stage energy because if you look at the work and energy Shakira put in her stage performance, even with all her money and successes, all you see is just someone who simply gives her best as if it's her last.

Tiwa salvage, yemi alade and co needs to do better because we are still lacking and no wonder the men in the industry have left the women behind.

After watching all the female musicians that performed at the VMA. Honestly speaking our female music industry needs to step up.

The songs are so wonderful to listen to that even as i am hearing some of the songs for the first time, i was totally covered in goosebumps.

This is the video of Shakira's performance and tell me if either yemi alade or tiwa salvage or tems can even match this stage performance.

Our women can do the same. It’s too much hard work for something the average fan won’t appreciate and will still criticize them for not doing properly.

Op I agree with you, even though our artists here are doing well with their stage performances they still have a lot of catching up to do.

But Shakira is timeless as she's sexy.
