Hello, Nairalanders! Today, I want to share an exciting story about a recent investment I made...

...so, recently, I snagged this domain for $58.23, and let me tell you why it was worth every penny. This domain is a hidden goldmine of SEO potential, and here's how I stumbled upon it.

One day, while revisiting and fine-tuning some of my blog posts, I stumbled upon a gem – a blog post that featured me on a blogger's site. I knew this blogger personally, and they had featured me not just once, but multiple times.

Out of curiosity, I decided to click on the link and revisit the blog post, even though it had been alive and kicking for a good 6-7 years. To my surprise, it wasn't connecting. I was redirected to GoDaddy, and there it was, up for auction.

Instead of rushing in, I patiently waited and only placed my bid on the very last day of the auction. However, there was a twist – I didn't realize I needed a $5 auction membership on GoDaddy to participate in domain auctions.

So, I had to wait until the domain resurfaced in another auction. This time, I was prepared. Just like before, I bided my time until the final day of the auction. I started with a bid of $32, the same price it was being offered for by GoDaddy. But then, GoDaddy upped the ante to $37. Cleverly, I waited until the last two seconds and made my move, bidding $38. That's how I clinched the deal. Of course, I had to shell out an additional $21 to own the domain for a year.

It might sound a bit crazy, but trust me, it was worth every ounce of effort and extra cash. Now, you might be wondering why my friend allowed his domain to expire. Frankly, I'm still scratching my head about that. It's possible he sold the website to someone else who eventually let it slip away. Regardless, I'm determined to make the most of this valuable domain.

So, what are your thoughts on buying expired domains?

This is the story of how I seized an opportunity and invested in an expired domain with massive potential. It's a tale of patience, strategy, and seizing opportunities when they come knocking.

Na bro, that industry is gentrified. I own a magazine now tho. I’m a developer, and I’m currently working on a product.

You're right though, blogging has now become oversaturated... However, with the right niche and traffic, you can make loads of money from blogging. You just need to know what you're doing.

By the way, do you know JavaScript, I need help with that shit o!
