Just go on YouTube.
There's no information you're looking for that you won't find there.

Do you already know the basics of tomato farming?

Which state do you want to plant it?
Which species do you want to plant?
Are you planning to grow it in a roofed area or do you want to grow it in the open field
Do you intend to grow them in the ground or are you planning on growing them in sacks or grow bags?
Do you know about tomatoes diseases and how to manage them?

Tomatoes is not for novice farmers, if you have not grown tomatoes before, then wait for dry season to try it with drip irrigation.

-I'm planting in Iwo town, Osun state
- I will be planting in Open field after successful nursery.
- Local species because of acceptability
- I'm familiar with tomatoes disease
- I have grown tomatoes before during April/may but I want to be sure of growing it around this October/November period and I want to know if I should prepare for irrigation if planting in this time of the year. Thanks

Dry season is the best time to plant any veggies because of less disease but you must have irrigation system.

For commercial production, it is not advisable for farmers in the south to grow tomatoes at this time. Tomatotoes from northern Nigeria are usually cultivated at this time and will flood the market between January and March. You might not be able to compete favourably, unless you are growing for personal consumption or as a hobby .
