Are you experiencing difficulty in writing?

Here is 4 widely proven steps to overcome a writer’s block!

Trying to write things out of your head after fantasizing how intriguing and captivating your content will be after writing and not finding the right word to use can be so frustrating as most times it could go on for along period of time coupled with the fact that there is a deadline to meet.

What should you then do?

1. Accept it is normal to experience such things because it is common among writers and it is called a “writer’s block” a period where you just go blank on words, ideas and point to write.

2. Engage in other activities to take your mind off writing for a while. It could be listening to music, engaging in a conversation, taking a nap, doing some house chores e.t.c just rest abeg.

At this point, you must have rested enough to think that you were even writing some few minutes ago.

3. Revisit your sketched ideas I.e unstructured points. Go back to the paper or book you wrote down relevant points related to what you intend to write and THINK ON THEM.

4. Get ready to write! step 3 does a lot of magic in the life of a writer because by doing so, words begins to flow without restriction, fresh ideas and content gets unlocked and you will be like “where on earth were these things hiding”?
It is very important you write everything that comes into your mind down so you can easily go back to it, edit and get it structured in a presentable way instead of not writing at all.

P.S: As a writer, experiencing a writer’s block should not discourage or stop your writing journey. Do the needful and you will be on track.
