My Sympathy Is With The Palestinians by Ugwuoke347(m): 3:17pm On Oct 08, 2023
MY SYMPATHY IS WITH THE PALESTINIANS

My sympathy is with the Palestinians.
Israel is a terrorist state. This is the reality. If it were not so, the Israeli government would have found an effective solution to the Palestinian question, long long time ago. The State of Israel must recognize the Palestinian State as brother nation, and give up all the territories she forcibly occupied in the Palestinian areas against clear UN delineations!

And also return Jerusalem to its UN official status.

But then, Israel views the Palestinians as inferior people unworthy of genuine diplomatic friendship and state dignity.
That is why Israel, emboldened by the United States of America, has committed and continued to commit staggering degrees of atrocities and atrocious punitive damages against the people of Palestine till this day.

Look, we are all human beings. This earth belongs to man. Nobody, repeat; nobody, has a right to put another person in an unmitigated state of perpetual terror and trepidation just because by some series of accidents of history, they found themselves in a geographical location that became a subject of historical contentions and recriminations!

The Americans who are supporting the terrorist State of Israel will never bear to be challenged tomorrow by the Native Indians of the United States of America, should they wake up tomorrow and want to reclaim control of all their ancestoral territories which go as far as the whole of the United States of America right into Canada.

Why then does the United States of America continue to support the punitive terror constantly mounted against Palestine by the State of Israel in order to repress and push back the people of Palestine?

The Israelis claim that the Palestinians are settlers. Such a bogus and hypocritical claim to make! Even the Bible says that the Israelis too are not only settlers but also a nomadic people who later turned to invaders and marauding bandits. The ancient Kingdom ruled by Saul was established through invasion and genocide!

Till today and tomorrow, both the Palestinians and the Israelis remain nothing but settlers and settled nomads!
Since this is the truth of history, why then does one side wish to appropriate all the rights of state to itself, and to box the other side to a very tight and difficult corner! A corner where they cannot help but react in vengeful exasperation!

So after all the terrible things the Israeli government has done to the people of Palestine, they think they can actually go to bed every night for a peaceful rest?
So they think that the Palestinians are condemned to suffer Israeli indignities every now and again without raising a hand of consequences?

And, will the State of Israel ever bear to stomach from any nation, the kinds of things the Palestinians have had to bear from the state-sanctioned terror of Israel?

So, it appears the world is reluctant to see the Palestinian perspectives from a dispassionate point of consideration because the narratives are controlled by the Western media.

The bloodshed is totally uncalled for.
The waste of lives and destruction of things that support life are absolutely unconscionable. War is totally evil!

The blames should be squarely placed right where they rightly should go; straight to the Israeli side. The State of Israel has had well over seventy years since 1948 to work for peace and befriend all the Middle Eastern countries and possibly become the darling of the Middle East. Israel had far more than enough time to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East by recognizing the State of Palestine as brother nation and according her proper respect and fair treatment! Israel has had enough time to effectively make the two-state option a concrete reality with reasonable concessions made on both sides in the spirit of brotherhood and friendship!

But, Israel wants to live in the past.
Israel wants to go back in time and define her boundaries along the lines of very ancient historical notions and Biblical contexts. How suddenly with the audacious waywardness of Donald D. Trump, Israel moved its capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem just so as to square up things in line with the ideas of the ancient times and the past Kingdom of Judah.

With the expropriation of Jerusalem which was supposed to be a neutral ground, Israel clearly showed the world that she really does not want peace to reign in the Middle East. For this reason, the Catholic Pope condemned in very strong terms both the State of Israel and the government of the United States of America led at the time by Donald D. Trump.

Those who by direct and indirect actions make peace a very scarce commodity should be ready to accept whatever outcomes the scarcity of peace precipitates. Nobody has monopoly of terror and violence. And yet, justice is the golden crown; peace the precious jewel with which every godly nation must crown itself.

A nation which strives to become a kingdom of God on earth must, by all means possible and right, diligently pursue peace by consciously and vehemently working it out in order to practically be at peace with all her neighbours, and to become a shining inspiration to others. Such a nation shall be an excellent peace maker and a shrewd deal maker. She will never become an inveterate warmonger nor a recalcitrant belligerent aggressor.

The popular quote on the Israeli-Palestinian face-off credited to the late Muammar Gaddafi was informed by the simple commonsensical perception based upon the understanding that if Israel and Palestine were wise, they would have naturally become friends and family! But alas, that has not happened! Today, we can all see the heavy costs and expensive results which Jewish bigotry has precipitated over time! The bigotry which insists that the entire lands must come under the control of Jewish authorities. The chain effects of the chain reactions triggered and sustained by this Jewish supremacist arrogance are right here today in the face of the civilized world.

Don't you think you're bias towards Israel? You may have to review your position if you understand the Israeli situation given their history. Many Arabs and other countries around them don't want them to exist and they have no where to go. If you put yourself in their position, you'll understand why they won't bulge.
Palestinians have better options than them if they can be less emotional and be more pragmatic. They once rejected a two state solution believing they can throw out the Israelis. Alas, it hasn't been possible and they are fast losing more territory. They better act fast and cut a better deal.

You are being economical with the fact. It was Arab leaders that rejected the 1947 partition plan. Tensions were very high in those early times. The Palestinians eventually adopted a pragmatic stance after the Arab League failed to defeat the Israeli Army in the 1967 war.

As at 1974, the Palestinians were eager and willing to embrace the two-state option. Their only demand was that Israel should return the Palestinian lands it annexed during the 1967 war.
The UN passed a very good resolution in 1974 for a two-state solution with Palestinian boundaries clearly defined by the pre-1967 UN partition plan. Both the State of Israel and the United States of America voted against it.
After pushing back the coalition army of the Arab League in 1967, the State of Israel became clearly belligerent, and got boltered by the confidence that it can actually insist on taking and retaining Palestinian lands and with force. And that's exactly what it has been doing ever since then, namely: systematically expelling Palestinians from their homes and communities and converting the communities to Jewish settlements!
This is the atrocity that gave birth to the Hamas Militia which now insists that Palestine must recover all the ancient territories which it had controlled before the formation of the State of Israel in 1948.
What the Palestinians are asking for is that the State of Israel relinquish the Palestinian areas it annexed and has occupied since the 1967 war.

I will advise that you take your time to examine the history of the conflict and how it got escalated.
If you are truly an honest person, you will definitely apportion a great deal of blame to the State of Israel for her winner-takes-it-all stance which is what got the Palestinians radicalized as they are today.
Do not take my words for it. Search things out for yourself.

It goes further than that.
This is not about Islam. It is about truth, humanity and justice!
And mind you, the Israelis actually hate with all their hearts, and harbour intense loathing for the following groups:

1. Christians
2. Black Africans (whether Christians, Muslims, Animists, Agnostics, etc)

Check whether you fit into any of the two.

This got nothing to do with God.
Why are so many Nigerians completely ignorant of the facts.
This is terrorism versus terrorism! The State of Israel is a terrorist state. The Palestinian Hamas is a radicalized terrorist militia.
Don't you ever attribute evil to God Almighty.
The wars that men fight against one another are a sign of their rejection of God and His Principles of Truth and Justice.
The State of Israel made monsters out of the Palestinians just as the government of the false federation of Nigeria is currently making monsters out of those who about eight years ago were only making peaceful street protests and waving colourful flags in the air.

Like I said, you should always have it in mind that the Jews regard the whole land as theirs because their ancestors once occupied it with verifiable facts to back it up. Whatever they offer the Palestinians at any point should be accepted by them. Failure to do so will make the Jews push to reclaim everything. Remember that the Jews were just returning from a terrible situation from Europe and they know they'll be needing a lot of land. The Palestinians (actually Arabians from surrounding countries who occupied Jewish lands after the Jews were defeated and majority fled from the land) aren't really in a strong position to make demands in the lands that the Jews traditionally know to be theirs.
Take for instance the recent war between Armenia and Azerbaijan on Nagorno-Karabakh. The land was said to belong to Azerbaijan at the fall of the Soviet Union. A claim and counter claim led to the first fighting in the late 80s to early 90s that saw Armenians claiming the land under another name after Azerbaijan was defeated. Today, Azerbaijan has reclaimed it by defeating Armenia without any ally helping Armenia because it was obvious who it originally belonged to.
Palestinians (Arabian occupiers of ancient Israeli territory) as much as they have lived for long on the land still have options. They can be accommodated in many neighbouring Arab countries. Israelis on the other hand have no where to go. Already, their sojourn in Europe ended in disaster. If they lose their probable ancestral land, where else will they go?
Think about it.

You are missing a vital point upon which the two-state solution is founded.
That point is that both the Israelis and the Palestinians are settlers and occupiers.
The Israelis displaced the original settlers, the Biblical Canaanites and other smaller peoples and occupied the land. And ever since then, they too have been dispersed from that land at various times in the ancient history by different occupiers with the last being the Romans followed by the Jihadists during the early times of Islam
If the Jews took the land of the Canaanites to establish a promised land, then it follows clearly that the land was not actually theirs even if they occupied it for 3000 years!
The modern Israelis actually are the most recent settlers in that land; they began to settle around 1940s.
Should the Canaanites materialize from the grave tomorrow morning, both the Israelis and the Palestinians will have a very difficult time trying to insist the land belongs to them.
The land belongs to man!
Hence the two-state solution. Nobody should ever insist the whole territories exclusively belong to him such that he can now decide to gift the other a miserable beggarly piece of consolation out of pity.
That is the definition of the Jewish arrogance in question! The insistence that the entire lands belong to the Jews because archaeological sites harbour Jewish relics is the height of the arrogance of Jewish belligerence.

Your narration of the whole issue is very correct however your conclusion is where I slightly disagree with you. The Jewish belligerence wasn't borne out arrogance like you. In case you don't know, if military might were switched at any time starting from 1948 till date, the Palestinians will easily go for obliteration of Israel. The Arabs have demonstrated this through the various lands they've overrun both in the Middle East and North Africa.
Israel has many times committed to resolving the issue including the two state solution but the insistence of the Palestinians for Israel to revert back to the 1967 boundary happens to be the deal breaker.
Now this is the argument of Israel as to why they CAN'T revert back to that boundary. They had respected it until Palestine and their allies attacked Israel from multiple positions with the aim of eliminating them totally. If they had lost, they would have lost a lot if they manage to survive annihilation hence, the Palestinians and their allies should equally lose something tangible after losing the 1967 war hence they took lands and positions not only from Palestine but even Lebanon and Egypt. It has remained Israel's policy of taking more from anyone who attacks them. This is why I said that the Palestinians should have accepted what they got formally and move on with it. Attacking Israel further will only make Israel to claim more of the land (like you said, the land belongs to neither of them). I guess we both can agree that what's happening there is 'might is right' at display.
I think only this back and forth scenario is the perfect condition that would usher in the prophetic end time events of the middle East.

Do you really think Israel wants to be fair to the Palestinians?
Mistakes and blunders have been made on both sides at various points in the evolution of the conflict.
The moral burden hangs upon the State of Israel to find a way to bring all these complications to a permanent end.
The moral burden hangs upon them because they rejected a unanimous UN resolution in 1974 which could have clearly ushered in a new era.
They and the United States of America rejected that UN partition plan because they believed in the efficacy of the force of arms instead of the efficacy of well-negotiated peace.
The same thing is seen today playing out in the American involvement in the Ukrainian war. The United States of America has never been known to make peace between nations. She would rather arm one side against the other. The hard question is why is the government of the United States of America reluctant to commit to bringing a harmonious resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian face-off? Can Israel actually hold her standoffish ground for a reasonable length of time without the tactical support of the United States of America?
You are, therefore, right in your observation that it is a clear case of might-is-right playing out repeatedly.
And since this is the reality, the moral responsibility is on "the mighty one" to seek genuine peace; the real peace which "might" cannot guarantee; the peace which can only follow naturally after an application of the principles of fairness and justice.

The problem is that we have too many stupid people in this world. A Christian would rush to support Israel because he thinks it's his duty and a Muslim would rush to support Palestine without looking into the issue.

If you take emotions out and look deeply at the situation of Palestine, it's clear that an organization like Hamas is inevitable. It's clear that Hamas cannot win the war but believe me, Israel will be hurt. No one will have to tell them to stop oppressing Palestinians when Israelis start dying by their hundreds as a consequence of Israel's Apartheid rule.

No one will have to tell them to stop oppressing Palestinians when Israelis start dying by their hundreds as a consequence of what Israel's Apartheid rule.

What you have pointed is the same thing which has ruined the world. And that's nothing other than sectional bigotries and sectional prejudices. That's the foundation of all the acts of injustice we see around us today.
From all indications and judging from the patterns in the conflict, it is very clear that the Palestinians have made up their minds to go on periodic suicidal modes; they have decided to live to inflict damages on the State of Israel from time to time and pay for such with heavy casualties on their own side resulting from Israeli retaliatory attacks.
This is their own collective suicidal mission against Israel. The Palestinians know they will die in large numbers each time they attack the Israelis, but they attack them still! They are satisfied with the fact that before every retaliatory attack on them, they must have inflicted immense damage on the Israelis. The destruction is mutual. Only that the casualties are going to be mostly higher on the Palestinian sides.
The shame is practically on the State of Israel; a nation whose power is only seen in flexing missiles, guns and bullets, but never in the use of the exalted art of persuasive and conciliatory speech manifesting in highly cultivated diplomatic efforts. Peace is very possible between the two sides. Both sides are foolish for towing the path of mutual destruction and for allowing the United States of America to play them one against the other, just as the same United States of America is currently doing in Eastern Europe by playing Ukraine against Russia instead of making peace between Ukraine and Russia. The late Muammar Gaddafi called both Israel and Palestine "idiots" for a reason: it was for going after each other when they could easily have become two great friendly nations and shunned America's extremist doctrines and ideological incitements!
To me, Israel is the bigger idiot!
