Good evening. For years, I have been marveling at how a gold coated chip can receive and communicate both text and voice information.

I know these are business secrets but at least it's 2023 and we can learn.

How exactly does that tiny gold plated
simcard interact? I know waves are real and frequencies are real. But how does it work

Okay now Let me break it down to you - Please try to catch up.

.
.
Now when you dial a number on your phone, a tiny invisible giant comes out from your phone and runs very fast to your receiver's destination, (actually these giants are gifted with speed so they usually run very fast)
Now When he gets there he quickly knocks on your receiver's phone and your receiver's own Invisible giant will quickly come out and they engage in "fast talks" once they agreed the receiver's giant will now open the door for your call to enter that is when you will now hear the ringing sound, means your giant has delivered its message.
After which your giant will now quickly run back very fast into your phone and he does this everytime you place a call
.
.
Thats why when you hear " your call is unable to reach" or "no service" it means that your giant is down from too much running, the reason why you should stop dialing too many missed calls.

Hope you understood.

SIM cards are probably not things you think about very much, except when you get a new phone and the card needs to be transferred from the old device to the new one, along with the phone’s stored information.

The cards themselves are simple plastic pieces with silicone chips on them, similar to those found in credit cards and hotel key cards, which contain processor and memory circuits that allow them to store up to 256 KB of digital information.

SIM cards serve an important purpose in telecommunications and mobile technology: They link a physical device with the owner’s account, making it possible to route calls for individuals to the right device and allowing phone companies to accurately measure utilization and charge subscribers for their service.

WHAT IS A SIM CARD?
A SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card is a plastic piece with a circuit-embedded chip that stores identifying information on a mobile device. This information helps mobile service providers associate devices with individual customer accounts.

HOW DO SIM CARDS WORK?

Each SIM card holds a user’s IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) and ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identifier) information. Mobile network operators use a SIM card’s IMSI and ICCID to verify the holding user and decide whether to grant network access to the associated device.
Along with making data transfer much easier between devices, SIM cards are also an important personal identifier for a phone, its phone service and related user activity, acting as an ID badge for the service user and attached device. But how does a SIM card exactly do this?

Within its chip hardware, each SIM card holds unique information known as an IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) and an ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identifier), which are used for identification purposes.

The IMSI is stored as a 64-bit number inside the chip, and works to verify and provide security for the phone’s user. When first connecting a device to a phone service network, the IMSI and an authentication key are sent to the service provider to verify that the attached device belongs to the buying user. If both credentials match to the provider’s records, the device is then given access to the phone service network. If you’re not paying your phone bill, your IMSI is how your provider will know which user and associated device to block from its network.

As for the ICCID, this information is an 18-to-22-digit code usually embedded on the back of each SIM card, and works as a non-duplicable ID for the card itself. The digits of an ICCID tend to be a string of numbers that classify a SIM card’s designated industry, country, service provider network and unique ID. After buying and activating a SIM card, the ICCID lets mobile network operators know which network to connect your card and associated device to. If you live in the United States and have Verizon as your registered service provider, for instance, your ICCID would reflect this information.

The magic is your phone actually not the sim card. The sim card is a chip that has switches that activate the inbuilt circuits in your phone.

Computers and phones are mainly arranged circuits that on/off at prearranged sequences (that's the programme or software). The screen is also a panel comprising of arranged very tiny bulbs that can turn on/off according to the prearranged sequence (in line with the programme).

When you put in your sim, it merely turns switches in the phone on/off. You can also use the phone to programme the sim which is the information you store in it like phone numbers and messages. When you put the sim in another phone, it activates certain parts of the new phone as you have programmed it and display the results on the screen.

The sim also contains your phone number. Your phone number is an activation sequence. When you dial this number that is unique to you on a phone, you are actually turning switches inside the phone on/off. The 0803 for instance turns the phone's antenna on and activates it to look for signals from the nearest Mtn mast.

The on/off is what computer scientists and mathematicians call binary system. That's what is used to programme a computer or phone application. You've heard it that computers only understand 0 and 1. 0 and 1 simply means on/off. The magic in computers is nothing but turning switches on and off. That's what the sim card does.

That's it in a nutshell. The magic happens in the phone

Its intriguing because I wonder how many years of research and practice must have been observed to know GOLD can function in communication.

In Nigeria, I propose there should be a particular agency established to study effects of gold in communication.

The SIM does not transmit or receive signals /wave/frequency.
The tech in the phone does that.

What the SIM does is to store information about you, so that when your phone received signal from your network provider, it identifies you as legitimate user on its network and make sure data meant for you are pushed to your phone.

The same scenario happens in your ATM card, it is just an identifier

Here what's I think, in the next 6 years, simcards will be irrelevant and outdated. Everyone will switch to WiFi and internet calling/ RCS texting. Phone will no longer come with SIM ports too. And a lot off telecommunication services will phases out bringing in the new phase of internet connectivity across all boards.

The gold plated are the chips that have been programmed to recieved signals once the sim have been connected to the phone, you will also discover that, same phone has some two balanced iron like chip on your phone that the sim must sit on to be able to to work...

Those irons that the programmed chip sits on is what send the signal to make the phone have a network signal...

I may not explain it better than a physicist but know that the gold plated have been programmed before it is being handed over to you, that's why every number has their unique number at the back of the sim, to differentiate them...

Circuit-embedded chip that stores identifying information on a mobile device.... you need to study basic physics to understand how the engineering works...
