Please for those staying in Lagos state and those that have been there before, I would love to know the range of cost for a self contain apartment in Lagos state.
I'm currently based in bonny, rivers state and I've not been able to get a good job. After my youth service program, I've been teaching and it's really not making ends meet for me and my siblings. I have plans of relocating to Lagos state by January, next year.
I do not have any relative in Lagos and I do not have any job offer yet but I believe something more meaningful would come out of it by God's grace.
Please your suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Lagos is not where you relocate to without getting a job or business you intend to start up. Don't try it else you go just waste expensive house rent while being idle.

You dont need to be in Lagos to be sucessful. Lagos is filled with too many jobless idle brokies. Learn how to ride a korope. Perfect your driving skills in two months and find a bus paid on hire instalment. Simple

You have to factor in the cost of living too. Rent in Lagos and Abuja is damn expensive and resource draining. Think am well.

I know Bonny Wella so I understand your predicament on the Island. You could move to PH city and look for opportunities there instead of Lagos.

You can learn anything you want to learn on the internet.

Driving, building, engineering, business, teaching, and many more. I built the gutter in my compound by myself. I learned it on YouTube: bought the materials, know how to mix cement and sand, and the casting stuff, place carpentry.

Very good job I did by just learning.

No one taught me how to drive. I just went on Play Store, downloaded car games, played a lot of them, then sat near a driver when going to my business area, and learned how he changed the gears and applied break.

I took my aunty's car for a test in a field, I drove for 30 minutes and still drove her home with her car while she watched me.

Nothing is hard, all you need to do is to put your mind to it and be determined.



The reason why some people especially graduates are poor is because they don't want to take a challenge. They keep asking, What will my mates or people I know say if they see me doing this?

I can't do this because people will laugh at me and look down on me.

Try and scale those two impediments, and see yourself successfully.



Sometimes, I try and do things that people will laugh and say, see this guy dey do this thing, me I get shame. I no fit do am. That's what keeps me motivated. (make sure it's something legit)

Ikorodu, Ejigbo, Ojo, Epe, Alagbado, Ijora & environs - N200k-N300k. Yoruba dominated rural areas with thuggery, juju, poor electricity supply, bad roads and dirtiness. High percentage of people with low level of intelligence & exposure.

Ogba, Iyana Ipaja, Ojodu Berger, Agege, Ketu, Isolo, Awoyaya, Oworonsoki & environs - N300k-N450k. Mostly rural areas with slightly better amenities but susceptible to all the cons listed above.

Ikeja, Gbagada, Surulere, Yaba, Ajah/Badore/Sangotedo, Magodo, FESTAC & environs - N450k-N750k. Decent areas with good amenities and security. Nice hangout spots, high percentage of people with decent level of intelligence & exposure.

Ikota/Chevron, Maryland, Ajao Estate & environs - N750k-N1.5m. Well laid out areas with impressive amenities and people with high level of exposure.

Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi & environs - N1.5m-N3m. Highbrow areas with every amenities within easy reach.

Banana Island, Eko Atlantic & environs - N3m-N1 billion. No comment.


Note: The Island environs for each category come with a large concentration of fake life people.

There is a field marketing role currently available in Portharcourt for urgent recruitment. It's a part-time role and N40k per month.
