Govt should delibrately help our citizens japa

Ministry of foreign affairs should have a unit that specializes in helping people japa, sort out job issues and offer them international services in case they need them.

This would help the country continue to play significant role in the life of our citizens outside the country, instead of watching the citizens desperately engage in self govt, which leads to doing too many bad things that ends up damaging the country abroad.

The lack of significant role by govt in the life of our citizens made it possible for Nigerians to be involved in slave labor abroad, it also makes exploiting them easier, either by their own country people or by people in their host country.

This is why the remittances coming to Nigeria is also very small compared to the cost.

The era of trying to hold people down is over.

If you do not provide them this services, they will seek it else where and most times, at the detriment of the nation.

Govt should do what must be done for the citizens and ensure the country get the right returns, including taxing our citizens abroad, for getting maximum returns for value provided.

The best help the government should give is to build infrastructure that will aid production. Fix the electricity issue. And fund small businesses. This will help grow the economy and create employment. We cannot all run out of Naija,most countries are already shutting their doors on us.

Did you say the Nigerian government must also tax those abroad .
