Do they know how much it will cost Govt. to set up dry inland ports?.. what happened to Calabar port, Rivers ports in South South?

With the current realities, South East should start reaching out to SS on ways to develop their roads to transport goods cleared from the ports In SS States.. It's as if their leaders are just waiting for other Nigerians to be doing the thinking for them. What is the distance between SS and SE states?

Yoruba representatives especially the ones from Lagos should be proactive and push for FG to decongest ports in South West. If it's to make landing of goods to Calabar free, so be it.. Let people have peace. Apapa I used to know has become a shadow of itself, bad roads, traffic congestion, parked trailers everywhere. SW reps should not go and sleep in NASS o while others keep pushing for change.

A dry port is sited in Ntigha, Isiala Ngwa, near Aba. FG refused to build it but wasted money building dry ports in other unviable places. Experts have made it clear that Abia is the most viable location for a dry port.
The Calabar and Rivers Port and any other seaport only serve as routes to the dry Port. You may have the water but lack the importers

Confused yoruba shallow mind. Always running round instead of coming clean with his igbo hatting. Don't drag SS into your madness. You know nothing about dry ports

What are their state governors doing. They have to partner FG on the project and ensure the enabling environment is created. Lagos state and other states do it, the only contribution of NPA is about 20%. Enough of this entitled mentality and overburden the FG

It's one thing to build dry port, it's another thing for it to have patronage.. the dry inland ports we are talking about will need heavy earth lifting machines and equipment and a top degree automation to fully run.
The way we put these things down easily on paper isn't how simple it is in reality.

It's a shame you are debating patronage for a dry port in Abia. Even the Calabar and Rivers Port you are promoting who do you think will use it? Do you know that axis at all? You are speaking like typical yoruba. Isn't seaport in Calabar good for Abia dry port? Are the two mutually exclusive?

You need to get over this victim mentality and they hate us mentality.. read through the thread and see opinions of others so you can see you goofed.

A lot of SS and SE guys I interact with always claim Yorubas want everything to go through Lagos seaports so other regions won't open up which is false.. Go to ports in Lagos now, it's chaos, trucks queuing up in residential areas, poor living condition of people living close to those areas etc.

The land in the South East is vast and a lot of development can come in, mind you I've stayed in the East for a while and there are some inside parts still green and workable. Nobody hates you my friend, Lagos State governor has been up and doing looking for investments, what are your state governors doing?

You never asked FG what your state governors was doing when FG built dry port for you in Kaduna and Ibadan.
FG are building railways all over Nigeria but once SE ask for railways to be built in their region like others you will begin to ask stüpid questions.

Those requirements are 10% of the potential in Aba let alone southeast.
