Chief carry your contribution and go back to your state....such arrogance!

There is no eastern state that gives land for free. Your lands are the most expensive to buy among all tribes. You are not liberal with visitors or as welcoming to visitors so why would others feel comfortable to migrate to your state?

If there is a declaration for all Igbos to go back home today, I assure you that even the poor Igbos without property will refuse to go back home. You don't like each other how much more visitors.

Your pride and supremacist mindset will be your Achilles heel eventually. The poser asked a simple question -how many haisas or yorubas are commissioner or senior civil servants in Igbo land compared to Igbos holding those positions elsewhere. You think they gave you those positions because of your "contribution"?

May be it's time for you to carry your contribution and go back to your state
Aside Lagos, can you please point to any south west state that has Lagos indigene in their cabinet? Thank you.

Read the original post and my comment.
The topic is not about political appointment within southwest states

The topic is about Igbos insisting on collecting appointments from Lagos while appointing only their indegenes in the own region.

If you don't agree with my submission you are free to state yours. It's too early to go on a rat chase

Mention one southeastern state that you cant find substantial number of Yoruba or Hausa. Advise southeastern too to accommodate other tribes and other state of origin, if they want other states to do same for them

quote author=mightyhaze post=127215060]Even though southeast authorities are guilty of some of these accusations, but then, how many yoruba and Hausa live, work and pay taxes in the east .. how many yoruba and Hausa kids do you find schooling in the southeast, and making meaningful contributions there?[/quote]

The questions you should ask and provide answers are: are Yoruba and Hausa welcome in the southeast?, are they given an equal opportunity to buy land and property? It is after you answer these questions, that your own questions becomes relevant.

One thing you people don't know is that Igbo are normadic, so Lagos has them in large quantity compare to Yoruba in other states. The contribution of non-indigenes in a state should not be relegated. As of Lagos, Lagosian contributed to its growth by 2% while non-indigenes gave 98% such as people from other states not Lagos not just Igbos. How many of the Lagosian can you find out the state? The ochanja, upper iweka, nnewi, Aba, Enugu, Kano and other states with big markets, how.many Lagosians are there compare to Igbos. Igbos dominated theirs states and other states in terms of business or market. So it is wise for a government of that state to keep them involved.

could you kindly furnish supporting evidence, whether in the form of videos or links, illustrating instances where fellow Nigerians encountered impediments in establishing businesses within Igbo land or experienced unjust practices from hosts?

However, it is imperative to comprehend the intricacies surrounding land transactions in Igbo land, shaped by cultural norms. I posit that the perceived hindrance may often stem from individuals neglecting the diligence required in navigating the prescribed procedures. To elucidate, employing myself as an illustration, I would initially inform my immediate nuclear family regarding the intention to sell land, in case any siblings express interest. Should no familial interest materialize, I would then extend the proposition to the broader family (kindred). Failing to secure a buyer within this circle, I would subsequently advertise to the general public, at which point, irrespective of nationality or ethnicity, anyone could engage in the purchase.

RECALL THAT WHILE THEY ACCUSE OTHERS OF TRIBALISM IN THE LAST ELECTION,ESPECIALLY THE YORUBAS.....IGBO PEOPLE WERE THE ONLY TRIBE THAT GAVE THEIR SON 90% OF VOTES....YORUBAS AND HAUSA-FULANIS DIVIDED THEIR VOTES.... I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE DONT REMIND THEM THIS WHEN THEY SHOUT TRIBALISM IN THE LAST ELECTION

They already have a prepared answer when you challenge them on the last election. They'll say they voted Obi because he's the most competent in Nigeria. I kept asking myself if competence has another meaning because here's a man that was basically a failure as a governor for 8 years in a period of oil boom and unprecedented high revenue in the country. The proofs are everywhere. Just check the comments of those hypocrites calling Obi the best thing since sliced bread during the last election, around 2006-2014. They were full of insults and curses on the man for his non-performance, but he suddenly became competent to them in 2023 because of tribal bigotry, even though he has never held any public office after 2014. One thing I must give to them is their manipulative and brainwashing skills. They were successfully able to deceive many people from other tribes about the sudden "competence" of Obi, especially those who become adults recently and were not politically conscious when Obi was governor.

Chief no south east state has ever given or will give land for free to a non Igbo. If you want is to believe this propaganda then the joke is on you.

South West is far better than south east and you know it. That is why the average Igbo man's dream is to escape from Igbo land and settle, so business or buy properties in the southwest. Just like the average Nigerian want to escape from Nigeria to live in developed countries.
People naturally move towards where there is opportunity, inclusion, peace and development.

Why don't we see people using Benin or any of languages spoken in Edo state in Lagos? Abi Bini ppl are cowards ni, can't they go and grab their Lagos back from the Yorubas?

Have you been to the SE? Yorubas and Igbos can never be the same. While Yorubas prefer settling within their region, Igbos do not mind traveling far and wide for their business.

How many mansions in the SE do Yorubas own? How many are doing business contributing meaningfully and paying tax?

In Benue were I stay, it's the same thing. Igbos own a lot of properties there. They own the biggest shops and shopping malls there.

But I can't find any Yoruba settlers apart from those ones selling Agbo on the street. That's the reality, but what I find in all of these is, envy is choking many of you.

The earlier you people realize that Igbos are not like any other tribe, the better for everyone.

flokii:

What the Sardauna saw sitting in the sixties, some fo0lish Yoruba leaders are yet to see concerning the Igbos in 2023.. it was part of the reason they killed him (Ahmadu Bello) in the 15th January 1966 bloody Igbo coup.

They go about preaching diversity in other people's land, with other people's heritage but the story changes when it gets to their own region.. everything there in South East is reserved for Igbos alone but other people's jobs and political offices should be for everybody.
No wonder Port Harcourt people hated them so much that they refused to return their properties to them after the civil war ended. Such a greedy and cunny bunch of people.

Yes. The land on which Alaba international market stands till date was given by Jakande for the traders to use. Maybe "give" is the wrong word as the land still belongs to LASG. The only thing owned by the builders are the structures.

Watch this "Yorubas don't hate Igbo video" on Facebook from 50 seconds mark. it was recorded by a trader at the Alaba international market.

In the SE, you will count 1000 people before you see a single Yoruba person. And there is a 90% chance that that one is an Agbo seller.

Nobody gives Agbo sellers employment in government offices.

Maybe when the southeast creates an enabling environment and don't insist on indigenes alone for employment into their civil service, then you will see children from other tribes in schools, their parents will pay taxes and make meaningful contributions there.

You like to decieve yourself so much. So building estate is the proof of economic impact? When you won't sell land or quadruple the price for non indegenes how will anyone want to waste money building estate in your state? An igbo will gladly build estate in Lagos or Ibadan than in a southe eastern town because it's more profitable here so why should a lagosian go to build estate in your ghostly town?

Why are Nigerians migrating and building houses in US, UK and Canada? Answer this question then you will know why Igbos are moving to South West and settling there. Everybody want to live where there is peace, security, economic opportunity and prosperity. Y'all need to tell yourself the truth

This is the arrogant mindset that will make the Igbos keep losing out of every national contest. You are no different from middle East settlers who go to Europe as refugees and suddenly want to law and customs to be changed in their favour because they "contribute"

Igbos are the most clanish and tribalistic tribe in Nigeria beginning in the military era and I say this with clarity. Time will not permit me to rehash history today.
