There's never enough "experts" in any field.
Web development is a really great point to learn programming.
Don't try to be those "Be an expert web developer in 3 months and start earning" people - It's a big fat lie - unless you want to learn Wordpress for that duration.

While learning to code - learn how to market yourself too. That's the best way to stand out - selling yourself not with mouth - but with demonstration of your skills.

Above all; don't start if you think that's the next best thing after Crude Oil - you might get disappointed quick.

Niche down. That's the key to standing out. Look for niches that haven't got huge demand and explore those. I will give an example. One of the widely used troubleshooting tool in my field (VOIP telephony) is called VOIPmonitor. The backend is completely open source and very powerful. However it is not very user friendly. VOIPmonitor makes a friendly frontend for which they charge an annual subscription. Funny enough, I've seen a handful of gigs looking for people to build web frontend fro the VOIPmonitor backend. Least gig I saw was for $1,500. Most average around $1,500 to $2,800. Focus on US and Israeli clients and you should be good

First, am a grad of a prof course but from sec sch i have been interested in ICT and even became a tutor and to teacher and to sec school head in ICT. I have passion for animation which have been my domain until recently I am learning dynamic web interaction with rdbms due to reasons including an already job waiting for me to take up.

Now to your question
1. No job is truly over saturated if you know what you are doing except if the job is faded away by time and circumstances. Eg in 2003-2010 internet cyber cafe was at its peak but today, phone has replaced their services and it will be wrong to start an internet cyber business now, do you also remember that in 2002 to 2009, phone boot call business was high in demands but today who does that? Do you know that in those same years graphic designers were hotcake but are the still hiting today, the ans is yes.

2. You need to keep updating by learning, unlearning and relearning to be relevant in your field, i started with Corel draw 5 on windows 95 saving using a floppy disk today were are those tools....obsolete! But am I? No. ur area may be different for example in programming, plenty languages existing and the library keeps going some commands are deprived and new ones introduced

3. In ebusiness, Don't believe online testimony, don't believe online results, don't believe online teachers who are infact marketters rather believe anyone who you have physically access and come to true conclusion of his testimony, online results or blablabla report. I started in the days of e-gold to liberty reserves and i am telling you from experience. Anything that has warning like "potential earnings, non-guarantee earnings, earning disclaimers etc" run...

4. Go for what u want, if its programming, which one? If this one, which aspect? If this aspect which application? If this application which clients... Avoid being a generalist as a beginner and always have the end in mind first as if u r playing worldcup...trophy abi?

5. Make friends o, 9ja is allabout contacts o and same in business, get enough portfolio and print complimentary card and learn to introduce urself with your work. Eg, i am........i work with .......that offers............... keeping it short and simple. Network with those doing the same thing, name so referal job they take happen o and when you get try show appreciation.....learning from those guru one on one is better than any thing o but u need to earn their trust.

6. Wat have you done for your self! abi na give me all the stuff type of person you b? start some where, get a plan, don't listen to side talks, do ur pressup, its about ur body fitness not theirs and no one will do the press up for you to develop ur fitness....its difficult, its frustrating, its timecomsuming....yes 😂 so just give up on your dreams and goals na and live a normal life or you think progress is that simple...even for school after teaching, I ask my students is it understood, they said yes...I will tell lets see how it goes from assignment to test to exams...and dey will be like after saying yes is understood?

Spend money o....forget YouTube, it will only take you far....but not enough for your journey and taking the best from all the youtube results for a starter is data intense and some youtube tutorials have barriers. Buy better laptop, no come cry online say maya 2023 no gre installed for windows 7....discipline ur self...hide and do the hardwork behind the scene .....no come form hypocrite dey post wet in you dey do....e go soon choke you. ..only post finish work or project and not for comments and like but for criticism but that ia a work of ur mentor as NL no care...highest na....that's nice but put ur mentor will tell u, its not nice by pointing ur errors.

8. Time is the measurement for ur progress and set a time to compare your now and before and the second best time to start afresh is now.
