FYI, the Zionists Ideology has existed for centuries. Theodore Herzl is known as the founder of the World's First Zionist Movement. And he formed the World's 1st Zionist congress in 1897, in Switzerland. In which he created a plan in pursuit for a refuge home for Jews due to the Incessant pogroms and persecution Jews were being subjected to in Europe.

By 1903, the plan was widely accepted and during the 6th Zionist Congress of 1903, Herzl presented the Uganda Scheme, endorsed by Colonial Secretary Joseph Chamberlain on behalf of the British government. The proposal, which sought to create a refuge for the Jews in British East Africa following the Kishinev pogrom in Present day Moldova. Herzl died of a heart ailment in 1904 at the age of 44 before his wish was granted. Later, his successors rejected the Uganda Scheme, and proposed Madagascar instead as refuge for the Jews. The Madagascar Scheme was soon rejected im favor of Palestine after the British conquered Palestine during WW1 from the Ottoman Turks. The British being influenced by the reknowned Jewish Rothschild Banking family, granted the Zionists their wish to settle in the land of Palestine.

Israel is just a product of the Zionist Ideology, and todays Israel could have been in Uganda, Madagascar or anywhere the Zionist Movement deemed fit to call their 'homeland'. Thanks to Theodore Herzl untimely demise, to say that the people of Uganda and Madagascar dodged the bullet, would be an understatement.
