I have tried using a saving box made of iron but once I need cash and I don't have it, I end up destroying it.

And I have this fear of saving with an online app because they might fold up and my money will be gone, I also have a fear of saving with someone, what if the person runs away with the funds like they did to my friend last year.

With all this fears in my heart, how can I successfully save money this year?

I do a contribution where we all contribute a certain amount and give it to one of us. Your turn is according to your number. We are 10, so once you pay, you know that it is not kept but given to someone who probably has immediate use for it.

You have to wait for your turn or Incase of emergency, lobby with the nearest collector.

Give suggestions, not everyone is like you..

Saving is quite easy. Have two bank accounts. One should be for spending and the other should be for saving/emergencies. So in a way, you're spending from both, but just a little from the second account. This way, you always have money at hand. You can always then add another account for miscellaneous spending when things become more stable.

Try converting any money you want to save into a foreign currency that is not easily used in Nigeria, say the CFA. You go just de look the money but you no go fit spend am.

I have an account that is strictly for savings. Once money enter that account e no dey come out. Even if Jupiter dey fall, money no dey commot. I also have an account for daily expenses. In fact I have ten accounts for different purposes and I adhere strictly to them. It all boils down to discipline in the end.

Open an interest savings account with a commercial Bank. Make sure that the bank you choose isn't close to where you work or live. Don't request for ATM and don't collect form for their online banking.

Once you get your account number start transferring money there. Could be daily, weekly or monthly. Believe me, you won't be able to access the funds. It would help you save.

Then account for where your money is going into. If you womanise will you tell the truth that you womanise? No. You will hide it. But within your heart, you know you use all your money to carry women, pay for hotels and squander everything.
