There is no argument that Simon Ekpa has become very popular, albeit controversial. This man's popularity now is only second to Nnamdi Kanu. However, while there is a consensus that Nnamdi Kanu is 100% working for Biafra and has sacrificed all for his belief, Simon Ekpa on the other hand is viewed with suspicion.

Some school of thought among Igbos and the Biafra separatists believe that Simon Ekpa is working for the federal government. But others truly support him passionately and see in him as a more radical version of Nnamdi Kanu.

However, based on logic, if Simon Ekpa is working for the federal government or Tinubu as purported, then what is his motive? Why then are his foot soldiers killing our security men? Why would the chief of defense staff lament helplessly at the national assembly?

On the other hand, if Simon Ekpa is truly working for Biafra like Nnamdi Kanu, why is he often doing things that harm Igbos like insisting on sit-at-home, warning Igbos not to come home for Christmas, and even subtly insulting Ojukwu and Nnamdi?

If Simon Ekpa is truly working to secede Biafra from Nigeria, why isn't the federal government doing enough to stop him? Or they truly helpless? Have they given up on him? Or are they all false flag ops?

Simon Ekpa claims he is in the process of opening a new frontier in the middle belt to help the beleaguered natives. Already, a front currently exist in the Bakassi peninsula. If he succeeds in opening the middle belt front, that will mean his men now operate in 3 out of the 6 regions. Wouldn't that be the beginning of the full balkanization of Nigeria, particularly if he gains widespread local support in the Middle Belt?

Who can really unmask what is going on in this chess game?
