Should i be concerned that my 1 year old daughter can't fall asleep without squeezing someone's nipple be it mine or her mother's. My babymama already confided in me while we were dating that it was a trait she also had well into her teenage years,now it seems she has passed it to my child.

PS since my babymama travelled since lastweek, all my nipple don swell up from rough handling. Anyway what can a dad do

I am still battling that with my 4year old daughter

There is ancestral spirit behind every human.
It’s more prominent when they are still young.

I have seen worst from kids. Some are very destructive, like vandalizing things of common good, intentionally destroying peoples property when no one is watching them, stealing and or sexual act.

But many outgrown it when they are matured.

But it might come back when they are old.

If it’s a son that’s where you should be worried

My 4 yr old son still does it rarely now. His brothers did it too but once a new baby comes,they get over it . But this last one has proven difficult even though my husband dey kick shout or spank him which reduced it

Why are you people sounding so weak and helpless over a One year old Iike this? Somebody you will correct with one or two small abara and tell her to stop it each time she does it. By the time you correct her three times, she'll drop the bad habit.

All this over pampering is why we have spoilt adults not willing to take correction today.

I said small abara. Mothers here will understand what I mean. The type they give that will not make them cry but will pass the message across.

It's a babyish habit. At 1 years old babies are still hyper curious about everything around them, but they don't have enough life experience to feel embarrassed or know that their behaviour is at the expense of their parent's peace of mind. Trust me, she'll eventually outgrow it.

lol, she only does it when trying to fall asleep. Her other habit is asking for water every 5 mins

I know. My sister's baby used to do it until she started pushing her away. her own it's the whole thing she'll be pressing.
