Were you going to Church before because of the Pope? Is the Pope the one you are to seek and worship in the Church?

People never run out of excuses for doing silly things.

She stopped going to Church even before the recent allegation against the Pope. So, why?

The Pope didn't endorse same-sex marriage for anything. As a matter of fact, the term "same-sex marriage" did not appear in what the Pope said. The Pope said "same-sex union", not "same-sex marriage" nor "same-sex couple". This is because Catholic upholds the belief that marriage is impossible between two people of the same sex. The same document contains that only two people of opposite sex can be recognised for marriage in Catholic faith.

The blessing the Pope spoke about is not even in support of same-sex union. The blessing means praying for whoever asks for prayer, not checking whether the person is a gay or not. The Pope even explained that even a thief who asks for a blessing should be blessed. Why aren't people also claiming that the Pope endorsed stealing?

There are fake health practitioners but you haven't stopped going to hospitals. There are fake lawyers but you go to court and hire lawyers when necessary. There are restaurants that serve bad meals but you still eat out. But you claim human imperfections are the reason you stop going to Church. I wonder when you will disown your family and all your friends because there are bad ones among them.

I respect your decision, Catholic is an epitome of evil. Every sane person will reason the same.
