Introduction
For ease of comprehension, we will be using exorcism for illustrations since it is the only perfect scenerio that clearly exhibits how authority works, people are accustomed to. Not only that, but also it is a perfect analogy for explaining the unhidden truths about the word "Authority."

What's Authority?
The word authority has oodles of meanings, but for the purpose of this exposition, we will take the one that aligns perfectly with what we want to convey.

According to Merriem Webster Dictionary, Authority is defined as the power to influence or command thought, behavior, or opinion. We can also say that it is the use of power legitimately.

chatGPT asserts the word "authority" to be the right or power to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience. Authority is typically granted through official positions, roles, or laws, conferring the right to make decisions or enforce rules.

According to Matthew 28:18-20, and I quote, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Jesus Christ averred that God conferred all authority in heaven and on earth on him. In addition, he exhibited a fraction of this authority by effortlessly healing those who were held in captives by infirmities; those who were demonized and also those who were possessed by demons, etc.

John 4:46-54 (NIV), this particular bible passage narrated how Jesus Christ healed the Official's son over a long distance with just an utterance.

Similar to the above-mentioned miracle, Jesus Christ revived Lazarus who was declared dead (John 11:1-41). There were countless miracles which Jesus Christ performed, and he did all these effortlessly, in fact, he did it without breaking a sweat.

When you research the miracles he performed and study them meticulously, you will notice that he only spoke and demonic spirits vacated (an act of obedience) their hosts without any hesitation because they recognized the presence of a power from a higher authority.

Jesus Christ wasn't the only one who performed miracles effortlessly. His apostles did that as well. To mention but a few: Peter's shadow healed the lame (Acts 5:15-16), he also raised Dorcas from dead (Acts 9:36-42), Paul healed the blind (Acts 13:6-12), etc.

Mind you that these guys were operating with the same authority that was conferred on Jesus Christ because according to John 14:12, He told his disciples that whosever that believes in him shall do the good works he did, and they will also do greater things more than he did. This passage asserts the notion about spiritual inheritance being unbiasedly available to those the truly believe in Jesus Christ.

Now, over the years we have sparsely recorded such miracles...

To be continued...
