The Africa Cup of Nations, also known as AFCON 2023, is currently underway in Côte d'Ivoire, despite being named for 2023.
It started on January 13th and will run until February 11th, 2024.

Here's a quick rundown of the latest:

Round of 16: All matches for the round of 16 have been played. Here are the results:

Egypt 1-1 DR Congo (DR Congo won 7-8 on penalties)

Equatorial Guinea 0-1 Guinea

Nigeria 2-0 Cameroon

Angola 3-0 Namibia

Quarter-finals: The quarter-finals will take place on January 29th and 30th. Here are the matchups:
