Zaidu Sanusi’s return to full training on Friday evening puts him back in contention for Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final against Cote d’Ivoire’s Elephants..


Sanusi had been sidelined with an injury, causing him to miss Nigeria’s semi-final victory over South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.

The FC Porto defender actively participated in all training sessions held at the Police College Cocody in Abidjan.

In contrast, Victor Osimhen and William Troost-Ekong were given a break from training and are expected to join the team for the final session on Saturday (today).

The Super Eagles are set to face the hosts at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, on Sunday.
