Please I want to ask this and I stand to be corrected.. it's about Gospel songs or music in Nigeria, back then we listen to many gospel songs and we were blessed, like Mama funmi aragbaye, amona tetewa, timi osukoya, good women and some foreign ones like Kirk Franklin, woman of faith, Fred Hammond, Ron kenoly, don moen and the likes and we enjoyed and also blessed... in all their songs they have never for once cabash if you know what I mean by that.. but now the ones we have today if they haven't cabash they haven't sing..what has changed so far that makes it to be like that.. just asking to know... Thank you

Most likely you won't like to know the truth but i will tell you anyway!

There was, there is and there will never be any gospel music or song. Those people you are talking about sang to make money not praise God so if the purpose is money making then it was their generation that failed to realize their intentions just as you've proven saying "they are gospel musicians and their audience were blessed"
As long as they did it to make money then the next generation will also target money and since people are growing from bad to worse the next generation of music lovers would take it to another level after all it's money making venture.
Mammon is the god they were all singing for not the true God and the next generation of Mammon worshipers are the result you're seeing today.
If you care to know more i'm still very much with you but if you don't it's OK i believe you asked to know the truth not what will suit your mind! undecided
