You can bear anything, but not hunger,
To all those in this present government and their supporters, may God punish you all with a painful death.

During a recession or economic downturn, individuals and households often need to reassess their finances and find ways to cut costs. Here are some practical strategies to reduce expenses during challenging economic times:

Create a Budget:

Establish a detailed budget outlining your income and essential expenses. This provides a clear overview of your financial situation.
Prioritize Expenses:

Differentiate between essential and non-essential expenses. Prioritize necessities like housing, utilities, food, and healthcare.
Review Subscription Services:

Evaluate your subscriptions (streaming services, magazines, etc.) and consider canceling those you can do without during the recession.
Negotiate Bills:

Contact service providers such as cable, internet, and insurance companies to negotiate lower rates or explore more cost-effective plans.
Cut Dining Out Expenses:

Reduce spending on dining out and prioritize home-cooked meals. This not only saves money but is often healthier as well.
Limit Impulse Spending:

Avoid unnecessary purchases by curbing impulse spending. Stick to shopping lists and carefully consider each expense.
Explore Generic Brands:

Opt for generic or store-brand products instead of name brands. They often provide similar quality at a lower cost.
Energy Efficiency:

Implement energy-saving practices at home, such as using energy-efficient appliances, turning off lights, and adjusting thermostat settings.
Public Transportation:

Consider using public transportation, carpooling, or biking instead of relying solely on personal vehicles to save on fuel and maintenance costs.
Review Insurance Policies:

Shop around for better insurance rates and consider adjusting coverage to meet your current needs. This applies to auto, home, and health insurance.
Explore Free Entertainment:

Take advantage of free or low-cost entertainment options like local events, parks, and community activities.
Emergency Fund:

Prioritize building or maintaining an emergency fund to cover unexpected expenses without relying on credit.
Debt Management:

Focus on paying down high-interest debt. Consider consolidating loans or negotiating with creditors for more favorable terms.
DIY Projects:

Save on labor costs by tackling do-it-yourself (DIY) projects around the house when possible.
Evaluate Housing Costs:

If feasible, consider downsizing or exploring more affordable housing options.
Side Hustles:

Explore additional income streams through part-time jobs or freelance work to supplement your main source of income.
Financial Counseling:

Seek advice from financial counselors or advisors who can provide personalized strategies for navigating a recession.
Remember that cutting costs is about making intentional and strategic choices. It's crucial to strike a balance between saving money and maintaining a reasonable quality of life. Adjusting your financial habits during challenging times can contribute to greater financial resilience in the long run.

Switched to solar. Stopped buying pure water or bottle water but rather pump my water, boil the water to its boiling point, the seal up and refrigerate. Got a modernized charcoal stove, use charcoal stove for cooking and gas cylinder for reheating some foods.

With the economic meltdown ravaging our nation, its quite normal that a lot of us will have to sacrifice some of our comfort, in order to cut cost.
Which begs the question,
"How are you cutting cost, with the present economic meltdown"?

As for me and my wife. We don suspend gas for now.
We now use hot plate and charcoal stove to cook.
We only use gas to warm food now.

Tinubu will not make heaven i swear
