I went to price a basin of garri two weeks and one day ago (07/02/23) and was told that it was ₦7,800 (white garri @ ₦1600 per custard paint) but forgot my ATM card at home.

I went back the following day i.e exactly two weeks ago and bought it for ₦8,000 (₦1,700 per custard paint).

Just yesterday (thirteen days later), I decided to go buy a basin to add to the one at home before the price will balablu. Ladies and gentlemen, I was told that a basin of white garri now goes for ₦11,000 (₦2,300 per custard paint). I was shocked to my bones.

The seller advised me to buy it and not to wait till the one I have at home gets exhausted else the price will be edging towards ₦15,000. I told him "no way" and left.

What is the price of garri (red garri or white garri) in your area.

I live where the villagers plant this cassava,harvest and peel it after it has mature,grind and fry it.
They still sell it costly to those who are not farmers in the village.
This particular plastic is sold for 1500 in Delta community.
If I ask them whether dollar be the reason for the increment They say everything has gone up that is why they increase their price too.
