Hooligans and Touts led by Segun Davis, Audu (a.k.a. Kolo), are taking over the once peaceful and popular Karimu Williams enclave in Oyadiran Estate, Sabo, Yaba. They insist on breaking the security architecture of the neighborhood using Keke riders so that they and their boys can have a field day to operate within the estate. The residents, through its registered association, had prohibited the use of keke in the estate, noting that the estate falls within the routes that keke and motorcycles are not allowed to use by Lagos State law.
The estate residents are appealing to the Lagos State government and relevant security agencies to help protect their lives and properties by not allowing such impunity by Segun Davis (a known land grabber) and his gang to go unabated. One of the estate residents lamented that "our blood pressure is rising, we are anxious, our children are in fear, and they can’t move around as before because of touts, area boys, which these people have sent out into our estate." A deeper investigation into the motives for disrupting the peace of the estate, as revealed by an executive of the resident association, exposed that Segun Davis had previously approached the leadership of the estate requesting a share in the estate funds, which was denied.
