As for this news, Transnistria has always identified as an independent state. It has also had series of elections and every single time, those wanting it to be an independent have always won. Transnistria has also made it clear that it will become a part of Russia even if it were to join a country.

So folks, Transnistria does not want to be with Moldova and its wishes has to be respected. Or do states no longer have the right to self-determination anymore?

I think you watch too many war movies, which is not what is obtained in real life.

Do you know Russia has the most nuclear warheads of any nation on the planet at over 6000? Even US is trailing Russia in this aspect. France, UK, and Germany combined don't possess even half of Russia's nuclear arsenal.

That said, had it been Russia was a weak nation militarily, the US and NATO would have invaded them. And based on MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction), US or NATO will never have a direct confrontation with Russia.

Russia is a big military power you shouldn't underrate or mess with.
