I did the Mtn night plan up to 1,500MB to enable me download some videos, after everything I checked the balance and it showed 402.89MB. I switched off my data so I can go through the videos only for me to receive a message that my night plan balance is 295.61MB. I thought it was an error so I checked and it still showed 295.61MB, the text message also confirmed it.
How did the data run down when I clearly switched off my data?
Is there no one monitoring these companies?
I know it's not much but how long are we going to endure this.

Don't you know that those MTN night plans no dey last, You bought it for a very cheap amount and you think it is actually real and will last.

The size of you phone screen. It looks like those phone that suck both data and battery to power that screen.

Go to "Mobile Data Usage" and see what app is using the most data (notification and updates at the background).

Of cause, I don't trust MTN. We know their ways... If you want to do night plan, I would recommend Glo because even if NEPA fails (or poor network), it can be used for the next 5 days. These once that expires within 5 hours, they can just chose to cheat custom by wasting their time.

If it is hotspot, then your Windows was updating so turn off update on metered network.

This is 2024 nat 2009. Go to your phone and check your data usage, Select the date you did the data as when your data usage should be calculated. you will see what consumed your data, Data can't escape to thin air.

it can. A network provider can decide to charge 200kb per page loaded, while some can decide to charge as much as 400kb per any page or interface loaded, before even loading plugins.
