Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic has opened up about the reasons behind her long absence from the acting scene and her struggles after moving to London.

The actress revealed that she stopped acting around 2002 and moved to London because it was a trying and dark period in her life.

She revealed that she chose to take a break after having a falling out with some of her friends who she thought of as family.

She gave up acting and fake and moved to London and began working as a caregiver for adults with special needs in a care facility in an effort to make ends meet.

She noted that although people viewed this as a backward step she said that it brought her joy and purpose at the time she most needed it.

She took care of her parents when they were critically ill so it wasn’t a big deal for her.

Rita Dominic further shared how her mother passed following the protracted illness and her contributions to her success.
