HRH Lukeman Odamah III, after a protracted legal battle of 13 years, was ceremoniously presented with the Staff of Office by the Edo State government. This symbolic gesture, involving the bestowal of a staff made of gold, signifies the recognition and formal establishment of his authority as the traditional ruler of Ikpeshi/Egbigere.

The gesture not only solidifies the relationship between HRH Lukeman Odamah III and the Edo State government under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki but also symbolizes the restoration of peace and unity within the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan.

The presentation of the Staff of Office is a time-honored tradition that dates back centuries, signifying the transfer of power and authority from one ruler to another.

HRH Lukeman Odamah III's pledge of unflinching support to the state government and his commitment to reconciliation with aggrieved members of his community highlights his dedication to fostering harmony and progress within his domain

HRH Lukeman Odamah, upon assuming the leadership of the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan following the passing of his father, expressed gratitude towards the Edo State government under for recognizing and addressing the vacancy in traditional leadership that had endured for 13 years.

This significant event marked the restoration of customary, traditional, and administrative authority within the clan, a role that HRH Lukeman Odamah undertook with a sense of duty to his forefathers and the community at large.

The metaphorical reference to the journey being laced with thorns and thistle likely captures the challenges and obstacles faced during this period of transition and uncertainty, culminating in a moment of triumph and fulfillment as rightful leadership was established once again.
