Brain MRI by Ima24004: 2:02pm On Mar 20
I've been having constant headaches for about three years counting. Some days it is severe to the point I can't look at devices or the TV, I also can't sleep without the headaches waking me up. And I get lots of migraines. I'm a student, and told my parents several times yet they don't take me seriously. Painkillers do not work anymore.
Four years ago when I was still in secondary school the headaches were occasional, now they're getting severe.
Would I need to get an MRI done? If yes, how much is it?

It does not sound like you've been to see a doctor yet. Is that because you can read an MRI yourself?

Why don't u just go to a hospital first and let the doctors check you to determine what u need ....no doctor in nigeria will order an MRI because of a head ache at first checkup...... they will first place u on strong pain killers, check ur BP and look out for heart issues cos it can cause headaches and other possible pointers ..... Head ache is like the body's go-to signal for virtually anything going wrong

Even private labs that just want ur money, I doubt they will just do an MRI at patient request without a referral from another doctor

I don't think he can read an MRI himself, which is why I wonder why he hasn't gone to seek advice from those who can read an MRI and tell him whether he needs an MRI or not.
