The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), national headquarters, extends our profound appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq of Kwara State, for his unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of students across tertiary institutions situated in the state.
The recent distribution of 50,000 food palliatives to students across the state through various Students' Union Governments (SUGs) of each institution comes as a timely and much-needed relief to the student community in Kwara State. This initiative, spearheaded by the Kwara state government under the astute leadership of Governor Abdulrasaq, has provided essential support and succor to students grappling with the challenges posed by the current socio-economic climate.
The food palliative distribution, complemented by various relief measures undertaken by the state government, including the bursary disbursement for all Kwara state indigenes and the ongoing scholarship awards for law students, underscores Governor Abdulrasaq's steadfast commitment to prioritizing the welfare of students in Kwara State, Comrade Kolawole noted.
Equally, the assistant secretary-general of National NANS, Comrade Kolawole Sodiq, also commends the transparent and diligent efforts of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Affairs, Comrade Salami Wasiu Onidugbé, in ensuring the efficient coordination and follow-up of the food palliative distribution process. His dedication to ensuring that the palliatives reach those it was meant for reflects a true commitment to service and accountability.
