The True Number Of Released Schoolchildren In Kaduna Announced By The Military by Odest: 5:43pm On Mar 24
The parents, friends, and family of some of the 287 pupils abducted in Kaduna early this month are once again beaming with happiness and smiles. Before the security officer could reach them, 287 primary and secondary school students from the Kuriga community in the state were taken from their schools by as-yet-unidentified abductors. It was reported that the kidnappers rode up on motorcycles.

A few villagers stood on helplessly as the kidnappers led the students into the forest during the incident. Ever since, every effort and force have been directed toward the children's unharmed release.

The military spokesperson for Nigeria, Major Gen. Edward Buba, revealed that 137 victims—76 girls and 61 boys—were freed from captivity in the hideout of the kidnappers in Zamfara state, which is renowned for kidnapping activity and is located a short distance from Kaduna. In order to guarantee that the victims are reunited with their families and unharmed, the spokesperson also guaranteed that strategic intelligence about the release of the other victims is in the process of being completed. Nigerians are greatly happy with the release of these kidnapping victims, particularly the security agencies.
