How do they manage to get to class without their books getting wet? I guess they leave their books in their school.

Sorry, I don't buy this news.

There is nothing in the video that suggest they are going to school.

I teased one local grassroots lawmaker that came to my office about it one day and you know what he said? He said the traditional rulers who galvanized the people to make sure they voted for him the lawmaker would rather have the money allocated ti the community shared among him and his chiefs than being used for meaningful infrastructural development. Unless you don't want reelection. So most of the time it now boils down to doing good and being forced out of the system, or playing ball and continuing your career
See where we found ourselves in this entity called Nigeria and this is not new. I remember during my NYSC in 1999/2000, a fulani guy from Taraba told us that their Local government system is not functioning because allocations are being shared by the village chiefs and traditional rulers and nothing has been done to curb over the years

If you need something to break your heart you don't have to go as far as Fiji. There are children suffering way more than this in every corner of your own country.
and so?

This is even small.

Try and watch WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS ROADS on YouTube.
You would see a lot of horr!ble ways people follow to move around.

In a country in Papua New Guinea, students have to start trekking one week ahead to get to attend a day of study in class. Such students have to follow denser forests and encounter all sorts of wildlife animals and dangerous things.
Only one student o. Not that they are going in groups o.
Parents perform rites and sacrifices when sending their children to school there.

Watch about other countries too like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh etc. You would weep for Humanity.
