Ladies and gentlemen, despite the continuous fall in the dollar in Nigeria, it is observed that this is yet to reflect in the cost of food items in the market, especially the bread, rather the cost of bread is rising from #1,500 to #1,600. This is worrisome and it is becoming clear that the the cartel in the market are the major problem in this country. The monopoly in the dollar market has been defeated and I hope this can be extended to the foodstuff market. |

True n sad. They will all claim they imported wheat flour when dollar rate was highest. Fear Nigerians. The local food retailers who used to compare their prices to Intl price too suddenly forgot how to press calculator and check forex rates. |

The food crises in Nigeria today demand an urgent intervention though our leaders seems to be confused on what to do to Emiliorate the ugly situation. |
