As much as I want Air Peace to succeed with FG intervention beyond any stretch of our imagination, I cannot help but point out our hypocrisy as citizens of this great country.

I go straight to point.

I remember during the tenure of PMB as president of Nigeria when he floated the idea of the FG intention to mobilize national resources to resettle herders as a permanent solution to the decades old conflict between farmers and herders, a problem which persists till date, Nigerians particularly from the southern part of the country protested vehemently against the idea accusing the president of being sectional.

The protest was so fierce and so loud that Buhari had to drop the idea. The idea behind the rejection was that it would be improper to deploy national resources to settle individuals who are into private business.

I remember arguing vehemently that it was standard practice all over the world and Nigeria shouldn’t be any different.
I still remember the 2008 global financial crises which had its roots in America, the then US government gave out billions of dollars to major corporations as bailouts in other to keep them running.

I want to use this opportunity to urge the FG to continue to support Allen Oyeama with everything he requires so that perhaps one day Air peace will emerge as the best airline not only in Nigeria but Africa.
This is something that is very possible. We have what it takes as a nation, considering the advantage our population offers, to have leading private sector companies in various industries. What is wrong if we have 1000 Dangote in Nigeria?
Instead of criticizing Dangote and wishing for his demise we should rather encourage the birth of thousands of Dangote in Nigeria.
Records show that the wealthiest countries in the world are countries with the highest number of billionaires. For example China, USA, Germany, and now India.

In line with this, the FG should Infact quadruple its support program and initiative for the private sector for its the private sector that is the driver of economy.

If Nigerians had let Buhari carry on with his effort to resettle the herders, perhaps by now the farmer-herders conflict would have been a thing of the past, and maybe, just maybe, Nigeria would have become net exporter of meat to various countries boosting our FX earnings as a result.

This and many more we can achieve if we purge ourselves of tribal bigotry and lame ethnic attachments in Nigeria.

What is all this nonsense for goodness sake?
Is Airpeace asking for any form of bail out or assistance from the government at the moment?
Did Airpeace tell you people that don't know they will face opposition/ competition.
All these talk about government assisting Airpeace to are from people who are not even directly involved in the business of Airpeace.
Imagine this op bringing the issue of herdsmen into an aviation matter.
If we talk now that what is actually ailing all this busybodies is because Allen Onyema is Igbo, they will accuse us of being emotional and having victim mentality but it is actually what it is.

Why have you decided to bring this motor park attitude to this thread.

This thread is a sincere attempt to get Nigerians to see that it makes sense when the FG gets involved by empowering the private sector to drive the economy.

Carry your ethnic bigotry out of here

Sometimes I wonder if these tribal bigots and religious extremists on nairaland are the majority of people in Nigeria, or just a group of lowlifes who found a common ground to converge and share heinous opinions

Look at this nonentity.
A sincere attempt indeed.
And you have to bring the issue of herdsmen and ethnicity into it.
It's only a fool that will fail to see through the veil of your bigotry masquerading as a sincere depositions.
What you are doing is actually telling the government not to assist Airpeace if need be since people stopped Buhari from handing over people s ancestral lands to the Fulanis.

The OP is part of the problem of Nigeria. Can you see the BS he just shared. 1. Buhari never stopped pushing for RUGA and it was not ethnic or tribalism that made people not support RUGA but the whole RUGA plan.
OP is citing USA, did the US go and start establishing businesses across the US buying people's land.
Back to Air Peace, I believe when the support is mentioned is instead of flying other airlines fly Air Peace.
Buhari spent 8 years trying to destroy PDP and bringing RUGA which both failed. OP you are the tribalistic clown.

Please, can somebody tell this OP that cattle is no longer bred through herdsmen moving cattle from one bush to the other?
Cattle is now reared in enclosed farms by cattle farmers.
Buhari merely wanted to distribute his Fulani in settlements all over Nigeria using oil revenues in his RUGA thing. Obasanjo even asked Buhari: who will give you his land for RUGA? The Middle belt opposed RUGA and was ready to oppose it with every drop of blood in the people of the Middle belt.
Bringing a private airline in Nigeria which merely asked government to intervene on foreign airlines' unfavorable competition, and Buhari's RUGA, on the same table, shows that the OP is anti progress for Nigeria.

Is the govt giving airpeace money?

Nigerians were against settling the Fulani herdsmen in southern communities due to their terrorist nature.

Airpeace has been lifting Nigerians from emergency situations free of charge so what are you talking about?
