The US military has shot down Iranian drone aircraft headed toward Israel on Saturday, three US officials say, without disclosing how many drones were shot down or the precise locations.

An Israeli defense official said earlier that more than 100 drones fired by Iran toward Israel had been downed outside of Israeli airspace.

In a post on X, Tehran says that its “military action” came in response to Israel’s “aggression against our diplomatic premises in Damascus.”

“The matter can be deemed concluded,” the post adds.

An Israeli defense official tells Army Radio that more than 100 Iranian drones have already been intercepted outside of Israeli airspace, out of hundreds fired at Israel.

The report says the drones were downed by the United States and the United Kingdom.

Earlier, the IDF said it had identified more than 100 drones heading toward Israel.

It's not over yet, the Isreali iron dome is still intercepting missiles fired from Iran with fighter jets hovering around Jerusalem.

I'm dazzled o, none of the missiles made it to the ground.. Isreal na baba for technology and air defence abeg.

Iran ought to know that US, UK, France and other world powers wouldn't allow any of their missiles hit Isreal, over 4 Countries now are intercepting Iranian missiles. What will Isreal response to Iran be like??

The only casualty of Iran's drone attack has been a 10 year old Muslim boy in the West Bank whose home was impacted by debris of a drone which was shot down by Israel's Iron Dome.

Meanwhile Jordan shut down its airspace indefinitely and Saudi Arabia is expected to do the same within the next 12 hours which means that Iran will risk having war declared on it if it violates Jordanian and Saudi airspace.

The United States has put 30,000 marines on high alert in case Israel needs any assistance.
