Iran knows that no matter how strong a leopard is,it is no match for a coalition of lions hence it acted in a very wise way.Iran instead of going into an all out attack mode,instead notified the US government and allies 72 hours before operations commenced,they did this to appear strong in eyes of their supporters by claiming that they sent a clear message,but they are behind the scene scared of a powerful response from Isreal and the almighty USA.No leader even drunk would want to engage the USA in a direct conventional because doing war.Doing that simply means the end of that regime as the USA and its allies would be more than eager ready to pounce on iran.Iran knows this that's why despite 99% of their missiles were intercepted before reaching isreal,they ran quickly and reported to the UN claiming that they have disengaged already.If Ukraine leaders were was like the Iranian leaders,they won't be in the situation they found themselves.So in a nutshell even if Iran itches to attack isreal,they know they can't achieve a victory as the USA and allies along side with Isreal would bomb them to stone ages so they lost on the long run by not been able to defeat isreal in a Millitary showdown the Iranians had been planning for years.

Isreal although had a formidable Millitary,they can't do anything on their own without the USA authorization because it's the USA that is the backbone of the isreali Millitary financing and their economy hence they have to do the US bidding. in this scenario,america is edging closer to elections and a war with Iran is what they don't want at this moment.Isreal despite angry over Iranian attacks have no say as their backbone had told them clearly that they are on their own if they retaliated.Isreal have to count the interception of the missiles as a victory but lost because they couldn't hit Iran and crumble it by Millitary might.
