Transcript from the video.

The Nigeria Police Force spokesman, Assistant Commissioner of Police Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

We have a dismissed policeman there, he was dismissed 2017 for a case of one chance, a similar case. His case is active in court, he is on bail and he is back to that business. It's to tell you that whatever you do, we'll surely get you.

The police deemed it necessary to arrest this man, then as a sergeant and he was dismissed for his involvement in one chance robbery and charged to court. That's how we should have done and we did what we should have done, we charged him to court, but he was out on bail and went again to that dirty business. We have caught him again and he's here with us.

There is a roll call of the suspects, then they give the microphone to the suspects to explain their roles in the one chance business.

The first one is a student that decided to get involved in one chance robbery. He says that 3 of them usually go out on operation, the driver, one person in front and one person at the back. He says that they usually go out around 6 or 7pm and their victims are mostly female.

The second suspect bought the car that they use for the operation. He also receives the stolen goods (mostly phones and laptops). He uses a software to change the IMEI number, but there are some phones that he can't change their IMEI numbers (those phones are sold by someone else). He also uses a server to remove the iCloud. He says that someone helps him to extract BVN from the phones (by dialing a code on the SIM) and they usually empty the bank accounts of their victims. Then they sell the phones.

The third suspect is the driver. He said that he drives and patrols Abuja with two other people. They mainly steal phones and ATM cards. He said that they target phones because they can get the person's bank account from the phones and they'll know if the person has money. He said that he was arrested at Deidei. He called the receiver of the phones (he wanted to give him some phones that they had stolen). Police arrested him when he went to give the receiver the stolen phones.

Prince Adejobi told him to tell them about the policewoman.

He said that he was driving and he had two accomplices with him, one in front and one at the back. He said that he doesn't know which of his accomplices beat the woman, but he was the driver. (We can hear Prince Adejobi telling someone that they beat her seriously).

Prince Adejobi said,

Gentlemen of the press, this is another sad story. A woman had been waiting on the Lord for many years. She got pregnant, but she became a victim of these guys in their vehicle. They gave her a thorough beating and she had a miscarriage.

But we thank God that we have them now with us. We thank our operatives who actually did this job, because it is an intelligence work and we have arrested them. It's quite unfortunate that that woman has lost the pregnancy. I know my God will comfort her.

The next suspect says his name is Bernard Amodu and he is 34 years old. He says that he is a driver, but he was once a policeman. He was a corporal, but he was dismissed

Mr Man you are a kidnapper!! undecided

It’s just like saying you prefer table water to sachet water the bottom line is that you will still drink water!

Biko, he should be sentenced to life imprisonment. It’s high time we separate these wild animals from humans undecided

A kidnapper is also murderer and a thief!! Evil men!!

The high rate of kidnapping is alarming. To the extent that people now plot their own kidnap or give information on how to kidnap a rich family member sad

My sister is a doctor based in us. She was in ilorin last week. A friend wanted to send dollars to family in the us and she was willing to assist. I was very uncomfortable about this and told her so. I said there is always a chance someone in this person's inner circle knows about the transaction and sends robbers after you. Only way this can be done safely is if they give you the dollars at the airport.

In Nigeria, you literally cannot trust anyone. A man over 40 setting kidnappers on his father.

Thankfully she eventually did not go ahead.

It has become an argument between us - NINs are far more suspicious and paranoid than NIDs and we have much less faith in humanity or sympathy for the poor and needy

Oh really. He only gave information to the kidnappers. I bet he doesn't know that is even a serious crime, by giving information to the kidnappers. Aiding and abetting.

I've often said it, many Nigerian are just too ignorant for their own good.

I know this will make them brand you, very wicked and heartless.

In Nigeria today, it is better to be called the above, than to be labeled 'nice and caring'..

Imagine what this idiot is saying, what's the difference, that makes you and accomplice and infact the Chief kidnapper. Wait info of how your father should be kidnapped. There is no more value system among this generation.
