This is an advice to POS operators, releasing money as high as #2,500,000 is dangerous, especially when they are being accompanied by armed men who could be kidnappers.

Saying it's business or whatever you call it. We had a case where the kidnappers confessed that they forced their victims to transfer ransom money to POS and later meet them and get cash. Do you say oh it's my business and I am not culpable? Avoid being held for conspiracy.

Whoever comes to you for that huge amount of money should go to the bank for cash or even do transfer. Even CBN policy forbids such huge withdrawals. Are POS operators bigger, stronger, or wiser than CBN? Even if you must release it, do a video of the so-called customers and people who accompanied him. If they have genuine intentions, they won't be afraid of being recorded on camera.

You are right, if you come to my terminal and request to withdraw more than 50k, I'll politely decline. It's called p o s and not a bank.

my capital is just 300k, that would fetch me around 15k daily. 15x25=375k. I'm paying my salesgirl 30k, I'll pocket the remaining.

Life isn't all about chasing money. POS Agents should be willing to work with Law enforcement to help apprehend the criminals in our midst. This is one way to contribute in ensuring a safer Nation.

Police is talking; Nigeria Police that doesn't have shame!
What happened to all the SIM registration, BVN, NIN and others? All was just to punish Nigerians in long queues and not to serve any security purpose.
Bandits are having a field day; imposing taxes on entire communities and issuing receipts. They conduct marriages and invite the police, they collect ransom and display their bounties in videos, they kill at will with no remorse and the Police are completely clueless on what to do.
Na pos operators dem dey harrass now!

Very good advice from the police.
A lot of thievery is perpetuated with the aid of those machines and some of its operators are criminals pure and simple.

Why would a bank give a POS operator such amount of money in the midst of scarcity of Naira? I went to bank today and they said there's no cash. Useless banks in Nigeria. When a political criminal/celebrity comes, you will see them dishing him/her large mint naira.

That mean you're only doing the business as side hustle, it's not your main business.

Secondly, it all boils down to your business location, your location determine the kind of prospect you're open to be patronized by. My POS business is situated in a market where huge transaction take place on a daily basis, paying out huge amount of money becomes inevitable unless you don't want yohr business to commensurate with the demand.
